The one thing I definitely see in Kobe's game that is NOT up to par with Jordans is his creativity to get off a shot. MJ used to glide in the air with 3 defenders up in the air with him and make some of the most amazing reverse layups I have ever seen in my life. Jordan was like a ballerina in the air..so elegant..something I think Kobe does not have. MJ was just sooo athletic.

It's posting up (obviously cuz MJ is the greatest perimeter post up player to ever play), moving without the ball, and efficiency. And that should tell you something. MJ didn't have to take that many three's to score. Kobe takes too many shots to get his points. MJ was a much better defender, but what I said was that MJ played when the defense and players were much better. Percentages are not dependant on how many shots a player takes. To claim Mj's percentage would have gone down if he took more 3's doesn't have any substance.

Anyway, Jordan's stats tell the opposite story. In the four seasons where he shot the most 3's his percentage was better. In 1990 he attempted 245 three pointers and shot .376, in 1993 he shot 230 at .352, in 1996 he shot 260 at .427, and 1997 he shot 297 at .374.

You could argue if he shot MORE threes his percentage would be better.

Jordan could make double pump jumpers in his sleep too, even as a rookie, but this shot is different, he circles it in the air and goes under the defender's arm. Kobe has never done this, one of many things MJ could do that Kobe can't.
