  • Sonic Unleashed is the only Sonic game I've ever played. I only just started it at my cousins house yet, but it's a pretty cool game.

  • Peanut from someone who hates god of war and mindless speeds., YOU SHOULD. I would rate the game a 8/10. But I would hold off a little while(Unless you bought it already) I have yet to fight him. (Major problem with the game is searching for rings...wont even try to go into detail. over all you need rings/tokens to progress. Stupid but it keeps from doing something stupid like going head first against a group of enemies that can destroy you...yes it happened to me.)

  • If there is one thing that the Sonic Games have done great, it would have to be their music. But thats just me

  • Hmmm... sonic unleashed, my only sonic game unfinished... Way too hard.

  • The Wii version, which I got back in 09, it took me FOREVER to beat Perfect Dark Gaia!!

After many weeks of frustration and failure, I finally beat him on the day that Michael Jackson died -_-

The PS3 version, which I got 2011 in November, Dark Gaia was actually harder than Perfect Dark Gaia, in my opinion.

Overall, the Wii version was a much harder battle, even thought the PS3 version is a harder overall game.

  • AH HA! This things got Deathwing's face!!!

  • Hang on... wasn't Gaia a Greek godESS?

  • @Penguinius15 have you seen the planet? there is no Greece in this Sonic-verse, thus no greek mythology

  • @duddude321 Yes, but the name IS inspired by Gaïa (who is Earth, in fact, in Greek mythology). The 2 Gaias come from the depths of the earth. Makes sense.

  • This battle is difficult even in the wii version. IN THE WII VERSION!!!!

  • Dark Gaia wasn't too hard on PS3. Eggmanland gave me some trouble, and the part of the fight where you have to run a short course in a set amount of time. I had plently of lives going in though, so It wasn;t too bad, I guess :)

  • The horror... SO MUCH DIFFICULTY!!! I literally abandonded this game for like a year JUST BECAUSE OF THIS ON FIGHT!!!

  • @Zdude3255 umm...I beat him on my first try it was esay maybe cuz I have the wii ver

  • @c3uu3t425 I have the wii version too! Maybe you're just better than me.

  • @Zdude3255 weird

  • @Zdude3255 That make's me think about something......I wonder how the Wii version is compared to the PS2 version, cause I beat it in 11 hours on PS2. It's a good game, but kinda different from what I'm used to in a Sonic game.

  • @passing2010 I didn't care for the werehog stages very much, but it was a nice change. I still prefer going really super fast in the daytime stages.

  • @Zdude3255 That's what I said, too. I hate that the PS2 version is crippled compared to the 360 and PS3.

  • @passing2010 Same, with slightly different controls (shake to boost? it sucks) and better graphics and animation.

  • @Zdude3255 I did the same thing. the only difference is that I got the red ring of death and lost ALL my progress in the game, thus I had to restart from the beginning. but then I finally did everything, got all the tokens, got back to the fight and won. I have never felt so satisfied about beating a game after that. trust me, it was so very satisfying.

  • thumbs up if you like to drink milk out of the carton :D

  • Wait a second...I thought gaia is a girl....... MIND F*CK!

  • Avoiding the meteorits of this guy can be hard, and his slash attacks look really intimidating.

I am not a Sonic fan, but I like this game

  • Personally not my favorite C40 instramental boss theme, and definitely not my favorite 3d sonic boss, it feels way too disconected from the fight.

  • get the game. i swear it's one of the best 3d ones ive played. btw... the final few stages and bosses are some of the hardest ive ever seen.

  • why is every sonic final battle so great but the game they play in sometimes are so shat?

  • To be honest, I freaked the fuck out when he opened the rest of his eyes. This was the first sonic game that made me jump back out of my chair and say "What the fuck!?!"

  • @Sojyne I watched a video of the final boss for giggles... and then when I saw it I shit my pants.

  • I liked Sonic Unleashed......

  • @dyldragon1 I promise you, you aren't the only one. Not by a long shot.

  • i got s rank on this my first time wiyhout trying.... it really wasnt that hard IMO

  • This song is the only thing that kept me from rage quitting the battle with dark gaia... ._.'

  • get unleashed. i swear its one of the best current generation sonic games. personally i liked the 2d better though.

  • sonic colors stinks the only game where u can play has super sonic in 3D in any level and u CANT USE IT IN BOSS LEVELS thats the freaking point to having super sonic

and no super sonic space battle come on and his voice i can go on and on and

hyper go ions really a 6 year old can come up with a better name for energy ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 0_0

  • @WildManToons Well I found both versions to be incredibly enjoyable, but extremely hard.

  • That's regular Dark Gaia. You know that right?

  • @drybowserman9091 Read the description.

  • @drybowserman9091 the description. its there to be read, son.

  • @peanut3423 Hell yeah you should get Sonic Unleashed, I've got the game and completed, one of the best sonic games ever

  • FTA: "Look at-- that's blood! LOOK AT THAT! Dude, I know it's green, but imagine, if that'd been red, this game would've been rated, like, 15. Look at all the eyes! What is with all those eyes?"

    Tom: "Resident Evil!"

FTA: "*bursts into laughter and applause* Oh, Tom, that is the funniest thing you've ever said! That's hilarious!"

  • What the deuce? Stfu

  • Difficult? PERFECT DARK GAIA IS A BITCH

  • Dark Gaia WAS difficult at first, but once you knew his strategy he was pretty easy.

  • 5 people are Chip, Sonic, Eggman, professor Pykle and Tails

  • Quite frankly, the Sonic series didn't suck until colors. Hopefully, with its declining Metascore, they will get back to the good games soon enough. I don't care who you are, if you're looking for good Sonic games, don't pass up Adventure-Black Knight.

  • @radicalcrash Laybrith, R, Genesis for the GBA, Free Riders...

  • @darkwee009 *sarcastic snicker* Yeah, 'cause any of those games are well known. Not many people even know what Free Riders is, and it just came out. Try again.

  • @radicalcrash They're still bad Sonic games. You said there were no bad Sonic games until Colors.

  • @darkwee009 Sorry, let me specify that even clearer for you. "Sonic games that count". As I already said, try again.

  • @radicalcrash How can they not? Sonic is in them, they were made by Sega, they count.

  • Dark Gaia, and most of Eggmanland, was bloody hard to get through. Did it in the first sitting, though.

Looked outside afterwards and the sun had come up. I STARTED at 9:30 the night before...

  • OMG I've still not beat this guy after 2 years! This Thing Is one of the hardest final bosses in gaming history!

  • Yes peanut, get the game. For Sonic....For TRUE Sonic Fans....FOR THE WORLD!! XD jk In all seriousness, you should get the game. It's WAAAAAAAY better than people say it is.

  • @WolfThunder29 Werehog included. 30 unlockable moves in addition to a small moveset to start with. This along with collectibles like Records which allow you to hear in-game music INCLUDING THE TRACK IN THE VIDEO makes the game really top notch. This game deserved praise like Metal Gear Solid 4, but retro reviewers didn't give it a chance. A fair, unbaised chance.

  • I heard this game sucked. but this song is pretty decent.

  • @ragnaroktomorro Don't go by others. Play the game yourself. This game doesn't suck. The Day gameplay is fast and impressive, you can even upgrade the speed. The Werehog has 30 unlockable moves on the PS3/360 version and tons of collectibles. Around 30 and the collectible types such as Videos (cutscenes), books (concept art and enemy bios) and Records (sound tracks) can be used in-game after you buy a bookcase, TV and Record player in-game to use them. The game is brilliant and very underrated.

  • @ragnaroktomorro The only part that sucks about it are the Werehog stages (which, actually, I happen to enjoy) and Eggmanland. Jesus Christ, Eggmanland, you are the definition of a motherfucker within a Sonic game. But, yeah, the game was underrated. It's actually rather good, especially when using a GameCube controller on a Wii. It is my favorite game of all time. (Well, it sure as hell beats '06... Fuck '06. Really. It basically just said "bend over" to Sega. Fuck '06.) That is all.

  • @twisterkid99 yeah i looked at gamespot, the wii version got a much better score. I'm a sonic fan from genesis and dreamcast so I'll play the new ones eventually, whether they suck or not.

  • Dark Gaia inspired the design for my DarkVine: Root of all Evil character

  • @peanut3423 do egg nega wisp phase 2

  • Dark gaia rocks

  • Dark gaia: Hah! no-one can stop me! after all! my weak spot is the biggest part on my head!

    Sonic: thank you

    Dark gaia: AH S****

  • @Sonicfan1211

Dark gaia: No matter! You can't destroy my energy shield that these snakes harvest. It only takes a few hits for them to die!

    Sonic: Thanks again

    Dark Gaia: AH F***!

  • I wouldn't have minded the night sages so much if there were not so many of them compared to the day stages.

  • I remember beating Perfect Dark Gaia about 3 weeks ago. Man, the music was kickass. x)

  • @gokuandsonic707 for some reason i can get through the first phase and just cannot get anywhere on the second.

  • sega hasnt lost its talent of music never

  • epic theme, but dark gaia is soo hard to beat! >:(

  • @DaMysteryBox ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

  • NTom64's reaction upon first seeing this thing:

    "Resident Evil!"

  • @n1g3ld34c0n XD

  • @GrubRising13 Check my favourites. There's a video of that exact moment.

  • How did sonic go from saving furry creatures....to all of humanity from a dark monster that will cloud the world in a cloak of darkness...just sayin' :P

  • @LordWill753 I don't care, long as the music keeps getting better and better!

  • @LordWill753 well...shit happens in his world.

  • @LordWill753 because he's awesome

  • That part at 1:06

Oh God that was so epic

  • I have never heard of this game before but i'll seem to try it.

  • this music is a bit too happy for a finale but epic all the same

  • i think the first stage of dark gaia is easy, but when you get to the perfect dark gaia part, it can be really tough. Also, for xbox, you have to redo the egg dragoon if you fail, even though the egg dragoon is much easier than it looks, it makes the fight much longer than it should be.

  • Dsrk Gaia isn't really "hard", per say. The only thing that gives people trouble is that if you lose all of your lives, you have to start the entire thing over again. And it's a loooooooooooong battle. Also, the level before this was complete hell, so odds are you lost most of you lives during that hell-run right before you go up against this guy.

  • O_O He's difficult, all right! Look at my Hardest bosses video! he's #8

  • Either way, the music is amazing.

  • I've actually reached perfect dark gaia in sonic unleashed, and technically, the picture shown in the video is only dark gaia, not "perfect" dark gaia. Perfect dark gaia was when dark gaia reached full power, grew 4 more arms, and like 5 more eyes, and was a lot scarier.

  • My opinion: Solaris Phase 2 = Perfect Dark Gaia. They're equally awesome. No need to argue~

  • Most EPIC boss level EVER!!!

  • Genesis: I'll take the world with me!

Kefka: Dreams, Hope...where do these things come from, and where are they headed? These things...I will destroy!

Xemnas: Hearts are the source of all power!

Neo-Exdeath: I will destroy everything, and myself in the proccess...so that I can finally rest.

Sora's Heartless: You will be consumed!

Ghetsis: Go, prove yourself to be the true hero!

Xehanort: Let your rage feed the darkness!

    Patrick: Stupid inflatable pants!

  • @ReshiramFTW

Wait WHAT?!?! How are those quotes related?

  • @ReshiramFTW Not to be rude Reshiram. Don't get me wrong your comment made me laugh. But how is it related to the video?

  • @ReshiramFTW

    you forgot:

    Dark Gaia: RAAAAAUEEEGHWWWRRR!!!! >:U

  • @accountnameism547 Now how'd I miss that one?

  • @ReshiramFTW Ghetsis...Why does that sound SO Familiar? Where is he from

  • @TheBronyGaming I think it's the pokemon B&W champion.....

  • @TheBronyGaming Ghetsis is actually the leader of Team Plasma, the main antagonists in Pokemon Black and White. He's pretty much a megalomaniac who wants to take over the Pokemon world.

  • @TheBronyGaming Pokemon Black/White

  • I'm stuck at Spagonia night. Do you know how torturous it is to be prevented from hearing both this AND Spagonia Day?

  • huh, well here's another song from sonic that I'll probably never hear because I can't get past a certain stupid point in the game, in this case, the stupid japan night mission! were-hog sonic is kicking my ass so far at it. It's a good song alright, very good for an instrumental

  • I'll never understand you sega...your games can be fucking horrible! But your music always seems to destroy any other games soundtrack...

  • @NemesisTheZombieKing Sega: Well NemisistheZombieKing. We ere at Sega feel that a good soundtrack would make the game feel more intense. Thus it would amplify the horrible things about the game. Therefore, maknig it a good game. -End-

MY IMPRESSION OF SEGA EVERYBODY! -clap clap clap-

  • @BalisticBlader IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE! 0_0

  • @NemesisTheZombieKing I know right? I have like, this thing where I can act like other people. XD I bet I could do nintendo even. wanna see?

  • @BalisticBlader does it involve how all their games are the same thing over and over and over again? then sure.

  • @NemesisTheZombieKing ah we have a request. I`ll bash whatever series I can think of then.

We here at Nintendo think that the same thing with better grafics. Will trick kids and adults of this generation to beleive it is an entirely different version of the game. Or how it is even a different game eintirely. Take Super Mario Sunshine for example. It was almost exactly like Super Mario 1. Except for the fact that we added a few new bosses. -Nintendo. -clap clap clap- Good?

  • @TheSuperMarioMaster1 The transformation sequence was surprisingly... grisly... I never expected to see so much blood in a Sonic game, if it weren't for the kick-ass heroic music it would've been Giygas all over again.

  • @ScrabbitTheRabbit Don`t... bring.... back... the memories!

  • I'm a huge Sonic fan, and I say this is one of my favorite Sonic games. You should play sometime.

  • very toughth and epic for me

  • very toughth and epic for me

  • If Sega ever scrap Sonic Team, they need to keep whoever writes the music.

  • i hated Sonic Unleashed....***** backtracking,Nai-i mean Chip, and the Werehog....i would have rather try to grasp the ZELDA timeline before beating this peace of crap...none the less, the song is epic!i wonder why they just remix the main theme of the game for it....

  • The first time I fought this,i failed.HARD.

  • Resident Evil...

  • me too

  • This music made him hard to fight.....or was it the stupid RANDOM RING PLACEMENT AND IRRITATING FIREBALLS!!!

  • This sounds like there's only one last hope in savind the world, and its all up to you to save humanity (and hedgehogs) from perfect dark gaia.

  • this boss was a joke (JUST TOO EASY) but the music was epic

  • Pure epicness begins at 2:10

  • It's weird, the newer Sonic games seem to have mediocre title themes, then at the final boss we get an orchestrated version of that theme and it turns out being flat-out amazing.

  • If you plan on getting Sonic Unleashed, you've got two choices.

X360/PS3 version, with excellent gameplay but a shite final boss fight (quick time events galore)

or the Wii version, with slightly lesser gameplay but no RPG elements, and a good final boss battle (you actually fight him, you all know who I'm talking about.)

Your decision mate. I realize this is really late but whatever :V.

  • No sonic boss is difficult once the pattern is realised. Since most of them have a basic pattern, creaming them has always been a breeze.

  • Am I the only one that thinks this is better than solaris phase 2?

  • @metakracko929

    no, i think so too

  • Comment removed

  • No one cares but 400th comment!

  • this comment will randomly get thumbs up

  • of this game i liked the sonic stages and the werehog stages were fine but this was my fav part along with the music

  • I'm gonna love this boss fight when I reach this part in the game.

  • to be fair l like both types of stages

  • @peanut3423 (Late comment, I know....sorry if you have this already.) It's definitely a great game, the hub worlds are decent, the day stages are filled with fast-paced action, and the night stages give you a sneaking around sort of feel. The graphics are excellent, and the music is kick ass. I'd give it a 9.5/10. This is just me though.

  • *Looks at comment* O_O WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL THESE THUMBS UPS COMING FROM?!?

  • @Wondermailcodes i could make an immature joke, but im just gonna say that its only a stereotype that EVERYONE hates this game. only the dumbass fanboys do, and then people who just didnt liek it for there own reasons. but mostly, dumbass fanboys spread rumors it sucks and then everyone else repeats it. granted, that doesnt mean its perfect. every game has flaws, this oen has some that the fanboys decided to never give up on bitching about.

  • @UberPoofyNintendoChi True, I see fanboys getting angry about this too.

  • @Wondermailcodes There everywhere.... >=)

  • @Wondermailcodes What the...MORE?!?!? Wow, I must be famous or something!

  • this sound be number 1. instead of brample blast...-_-

  • This game was SO mediocre. At least the finale was awesome!

  • Sonic Unleashed is fairly good, but i wouldn't worry about it too much. The final boss, for me, is pretty easy. And there's no secret final boss once you get 100% either, so unless you want the hidden movie, the only thing that kept me going was the fact that the soundtrack was pretty good. Occasionally i stopped the game for a few weeks, than got slightly interested again, and started playing it again. Not one of Sega's best, but pretty good.

  • i can't belive it but this is more epic than solaris phase 2

  • people just shove this game in the ground because of the werehog. i put it this way, its a huge step up from sonic 06.

  • When you mix my two favorite things, Sonic and werewolves, HOW CAN I NOT FRIGGIN BUY IT!? Naka said there will be more Werehog? I say BRING IT ON!!!

  • @ThatGuyfromBrazil It seems Brazil has a lot of smart people in that country. :D

  • @vgman94 Why, thank you. You guys rock, too! :D

  • @ThatGuyfromBrazil Thanks. But my country isn't all that great. It kinda has a lot of whiny and overly sensitive people in it. :( But thanks for the compliment. =)

  • Final Boss

Ps3/Xbox360 (I have played it): Kinda easycompared to wii/ps2, But still hard.

  • The only problem I have with Sonic Unleashed is Eggmanland Day Stage 1. Hard as balls.

This is a solid game, otherwise, and what a breath of fresh air after 06.

  • My computer hates commas and periods, sorry 'bout that.

  • This is Endless Possibilities, add some epicness, mix sturdily while add a ground up epic powder, put into epic oven for epic minutes, take out and sprinkle some epicness all over it, then let it sit on the epic table, while it cools down epically, and presto, you got this! Anyway, seriously, this is EP with some drums and Cellos (I think, not good with instruments) some nice wind instruments, the base tune of EP in there, and all that, this is truly a wonderful rendition, I vote for it!

  • how come this sounds like the sonic colors theme?

  • music is something that sega has never done wrong

  • @smashfreak111, they even got that right in sonic 06!

    P.S.: sonic 3 & knuckles + M.J.=EPICNESS

  • @smashfreak111 yea i totally agree sonic may have if fair share of bad and dont right horrible games but thiers always a good thing about it which was the music

  • @smashfreak111 that and visuals. I feel that they even rival companies like Pixar and Dreamworks

  • @smashfreak111

Lol, the one thing they haven't seriously screwed on!

  • @smashfreak111 Songs in sonic games are good. The sonic games themselves are the things that have to suffer for that

    It's a shame really.

  • @smashfreak111 I wish they were that good at scripting >:(

  • this may sound epic but the gameplay on all the sonic games on wii....its just horrible.theres a reason why i never heard this music in game.

  • when i first played this game i thought there was going to be a super form for the werehog

  • @peanut3423 I have sonic unleashed for the xbox 360, but if you hear that the final boss is hard, then you should get the wii or ps3 version, since the xbox 360 version is easy as crap. Either way, the game is great in my opinion

  • When I make my "Top Ten Annoying Things in Sonic" Video, the music may be the only thing that saves this battle from placing at #1. Wow that battle irritated me, but I loved the tunes!

  • the gameplay was sick in this game, but the werehog totally killed this game

either way this battle was SIIIIIIICK!!!!

  • Woooow... I hate it how some people make this game look bad cause SEGA is trying to get something...err what was it called...ahh yes - NEW into the Sonic Games! It`s making me f***ing sick -.- Now there is a good 3D sonic game, but some retards are making it bad - I don`t think this helps SEGA -.-

  • @Bugfish101

In sonic games you expect to be running fast through levels and smashing a couple robots on the way but in unleashed you stop running and stand around and fight shit. Its great to add new things to games but when you change the gameplay from super fast running through crazy levels to walking around a smashing shit people are gonna wonder if they are even playing the same game.

  • @Kirbyluver2 Well i had no problem to rush through awesome levels with superspeed and after that to "relax" in a werehog stage while beat the shit out of Monsters, Robots and stuff like that

  • @Bugfish101 That's my opinion, but I've never gotten to actually PLAY it, just watch gameplay footage. I just think that at the pace that the day stages (at least the 360/PS3 versions) go at, it would get a bit draining to be doing that non-stop. People's reflexes need a little time to rest, after all.

  • @leafbarrett Before playing the game, I had the same opinion as you, but trust me, its not what it looks like ;)

  • That's another thing, I guess... Why is Chuck the "God" person on the internet when Bruce Lee beat him? AAAAAAGH! You memes don't make SENSE!

... Sorry, all Chuck Norris fans I just offended. :)

  • Why is it every time you are "Super" Sonic, who's supposed to basically have Chuck Norris-like powers, you are battling this creature/robot that can still kill you quite easily?

  • @KoopaConor bruce lee is stronger than chuck norris, bruce lee beat him in a movie when they fought

  • sonic colors is gonna give nintendo a run for its money as long as they dont make mario galaxy 3 or mario universe....or dimension lolXD

  • leave the mythology just to god of war!

  • HOW IS THIS ONLY 49?!

  • @TheMaskedMan09 It's not ranked 49th. Peanut just uploads these guys in random order.

  • @Oudaen thats what i ment

  • Sonic games have gotten a lot darker lately, haven't they?

  • @Sessionoid i know sonic and the DARK knight sonic unleased-"DARKNESS inside of you",DARK gaia and egg man almost always causes the fricking problom
