  • This was the first solo I played as a student at Indiana University, decades ago.

  • @cythara1 Thank you very much for your nice comment.

  • The allegedly stolen concert was published in 1777 in Publisher Sieber, Paris under the name of Punto. In 1782 the catalog of the publisher Breitkopf displayed similar concerts by Stamitz. It has received no pressure or handwriting of the concerts by Stamitz. The Punto has been stolen, can thus not be proved.

  • this concerto is A.Rosetti "Horn concerto" F-Dur. 3 mov.

  • GREAT!!!! BUT, is it possible stole the themes from Punto or vice versa?????????

  • @julaibeeb Thank you for comment. Composer Carl Stamitz was born in Manheim 1745 Germany. Giovanni Punto (own name Jan Vávclav Stich ) was born 1746 in Bohemia now Czech republic. G. Punto was known hornist in his time. I listened now his horn concerto. His horn concerto is alike Stamitz horn concerto. Maybe Punto as known hornist played concerto by C.Stamitz and later he composed horn concerto under the thumb of C. Stamitz. I have no better explanation.

  • @harpsichordRB - I'm a Horn player as well, that's why I picked up on the similarities of the concerti between the two musicians....

  • @julaibeeb this concerto by Carl Stamitz was written 1782-1784 and it was attributed to Punto. Concerto by Jan Václav Stich - Giovanni Punto with the same theme was written in 1789 apperently based on works by Stamitz.

  • Odpovědět na toto video... Thank you very much for your explanation. I didn´t know the date of the composing of these concertos

  • Grande maestro
