Great job on the video. Lost our sweet English Mastiff Huckleberry on President's day to a sudden stomach twist. They bring so much joy to our lives, yet leave such a void when their gone. I miss him so much and I was trying to put a collage of our pics with him to make a tribute like yours. Very good job on the tribute and we will see them again someday at the rainbow bridge!
This video tore me up. I am trying to get prepared for my baby to leave. He is 14 years old and getting sick. I am just glad that he shared his life with me. Bless you Mr. D!!!!!!
@mommashopper - Aw. Your comment choked me up. Thanks for the kind words and good luck to you and bless you and your pup on your journey. I wish you both well.
@TrevorPalmatiershow it really did; he looked like a gorgeous, giant, lovable lap dog! We have a cane corso and these (mastiffs) dogs are so lovable! And they love back! I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sure he brought you lots of love and happiness while you had him.
@dianacamren03 - That's great. I want you to know that I have a beautiful 4 month old english mastiff puppy now and a cane corso too! My cane corso is 7 months old, and I got him so the english mastiff could have a buddy to hang out with when I'm at work! Love the canes too!
@TrevorPalmatiershow aww so sweet!! Our Brucie has a companion, too! He'd be a handful without Bo!! You're brave, that's for sure; two big dogs who I'm sure will rule the household!!
Wow he was beautiful! What a sweet vidio! I have 3 huge mastiffs! A 200 lb 2year old female still growing, a 189 lb male only 11 months still has tons of growing to do! And a 6 month old female who weighs 104, she is a monster! You are so right, not only is there size massive so is there heart! The most kind, loving, gentle & loyal dogs out there! I love everything about mastiffs from there massif size to there big slobbering lips! Gentle giants are the shit!! Loved this vidio! Once I figure ou
What a Star he was!! I know it won't replace him it never does but will you be getting another dog like him?? The reason I ask is when I lost mine, the house just did not seem right with out him around so just had to get another one, with in a few weeks. The strangest thing is, the new pup followed the exact route as my old boy when he was alive and did the same things like he been here before! I am convinced my boy old boys still around guiding him..
@MrNativeDancer - Every house needs a dog, in my opinion. I waited a few months to grieve then was able to get a new English Mastiff puppy in December, six months after Diesel died. My new puppy Rufus, is different, but special too in his way. I even got him an Italian Mastiff (cane corso) puppy to be his buddy. They are quite a pair. Diesel was such a star and I know he's looking over all of us. Thank you for your nice comments. Enjoy your new EM!
I have a brindle female Mastiff. I have 2 other dogs that I own and love as well. However, there is something special about my Mastiff. There is no breed like them. Sincerely, my heart aches for you and this loss. The video shows how special Diesel was to you both. We have to enjoy every day we have with these gentle giants as they never are able to stay with us as long as we would like them to.
@dnellnelson - I know what you mean. I have an Italian mastiff and a new English mastiff since Diesel's passing. There is just something special about the temperament and personality of the English that cannot be described. It must be experienced. Enjoy your girl, I will enjoy my new EM Rufus! He is four months now and amazing. Thanks for your comments.
What beautiful memories you have...he was so lovely. He will be waiting for you "this side of Heaven...at Rainbow's Brigde", so you can both cross it together into eternity.
I am so very sorry your loss he was beautiful I no wat ur going thru I went thru the samething with my boy a year and a half ago and miss him more then anything. It is truly sad what happened to him but just no that even tho u didnt have him for very long he will always be wit u RIP Diesel!!!
@jjgonzalez30 - Aw. I like to think that this video is a tribute to ALL dogs lost by dog owners. Diesel was special to me and those who knew him, but the feeling of loss is something that all dog owners can relate to. While it can be sad to watch, I hope you could see the joy and happiness Diesel brought to the world.
English Mastiffs are a wonderful breed. We have had three EM, and each one has been a cherished member of our family. We lost our 2nd Mastiff, Gabriel, about 2yrs ago, and still often think of him. Words can't describe the love and joy we shared. As I type this, my EM, Sarge is laying on my feet snoring. He looks very similar to your Diesel. Sarge is 6yrs old, and is begining to slow down a little bit, but his health is good. With Mastiffs, the challenge is to love them as much as they love you.
@GunznGear - I completely agree! You cannot return the volume or intensity with which these mastiffs love you. Special breed indeed. Sorry about Gabriel. I know how hard losing Diesel was for me, so can appreciate you sharing your story with me. Hope Sarge is well! My new EM Rufus is 4 months old now! He's going to be a monster size!
OMG! I just red about your beautiful Diesel, I'm very sorry, he is now a sweet angel who will take care of you forever, I cant hel crying when I think that someday my Draco will leave me, I share your pain, I don't know you but I know what is an ENGLISH MASTIFF...
I have 6 dogs, the 4th one is a lovely brindle english mastiff like yours, he was diagnosed (hipothyroidoisim) but he is doing great now, I know how you feel about yours cause they are simply breathtaking, I LOVE my huge Draco!!!!!
@Fishsticks187 - He collapsed unconscious when I had just left for Europe. I had to come home immediately. He had liver and stomach cancer and was dying. So we put him down after a few glorious last days with him. Saddest time of my whole life. I loved him more than anything ever and I miss him still today.
@Taud - I don't know you, no, but your comments do mean something! Thank you for taking the time. I share your love of those big dogs! Especially the mastiffs!
I have a 14 week old English Mastiff, Diva, and she is in the process of being diagnosed with an ectopic ureter. I have fallen in love with her and will get her the $2000 surgery if that is what needs to happen. This video has just solidified my decision that it will be well worth it in the end. What a beautiful dog Diesel was.
@DLynnSmith46 - I also now have a 14 week old English Mastiff! His name is Rufus. I am sorry to hear of your issues with Diva. I promise that the love you have for her will be worth the money to help her. I would give anything to have Diesel back again. Anything. He was a magnificent creature. I am so happy that you enjoyed the tribute and made your comments. Thank you again and best wishes for you and Diva! Hope it all goes well and long life to her!
There is no greater love than that of what I just watched. I lost my best friend 4-11-2011 and life hasnt been the same since. May Diesel's spirit live on forever.
Thank you for sharing an important part of your life.
@Designed2Climb - That was a very special and kind comment. Thank you so much. I am sad for your own loss, and happy that you enjoyed sharing in my tribute to Diesel. His spirit is with me still.
what a beautiful dog.. so sorry for your loss. my wife and i lost our 3year 8month old male jan 11 2011 its been a little over a year and it dont get any easier. they are your family your kid they give so much love. as a tribute to ours my wife and i had his paw dipped in ink and had him step on a peice of paper we took his print to a tattoo shop and had his paw tattooed on us... these dogs(kids) are awesome.. so sorry for your loss and good luck with the puppy
@dshawk1 - I am so sorry to hear you lost yours at 3 years too. That is just not long enough at all. You must know exactly how hard this was for us. My son, who was so close to Diesel, did exactly as you did, and had his paw print tattooed on his ribcage where he used to rest his head and sleep on him. I made a clay imprint of his paw print that stays on my mantle. Thank you for the wonderful comment. New puppy is doing great. Best wishes to you and your wife.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. From the first picture I had a smile on my face because I saw how much love and happiness he brought into your life and you brought into his. It's amazing the connection dogs and people can have. This felt like a tribute for everyone's beloved dogs that they have lost over the years. Now if only I could stop the tears!
@aveinott - What a lovely comment, and thank you so much. Diesel was my best friend and constant companion. We crammed a lot of love and living into 3 short years. He lit up the room and everyone who met him. You are right, the connection between man and his best friend is amazing. Thank you for such a touching comment. All the best to you and yours.
Listen, sometimes putting them down is the humane thing to do. Had to do the same with my pug Buddha. He was such a great dog. He lived 15 years! I didnt even know diesel but i miss him :( R.I.P
@FlipnPray - Diesel had terminal cancer and was quickly dying anyways, so we put him down when he began to suffer. He was only 3. I wish I had had a decade with him. He was special to me. Thanks for your comments. Peace.
What a beautiful tribute. Thank you for sharing. My husband and I have a 10 year old brindle as well. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, and lost her right hind leg. She has been cancer free since, and we are so VERY greatful for everyday we have with her. It's heartbreaking that our wise gentle giants have such a short time with us. You gave Deisel such a beautiful, loving, happy, life. All though is was short, he clearly lived his days to the fullest!
@BLVProductions1 - Diesel was with me for far too short a time. 3 years is nothing. But we packed in an incredible amount of travel and experiences in that short time. You are very lucky to have yours 10 years now! That's old for a mastiff! Sorry about the leg and the cancer, but great to hear she's been free of it for a couple years now. I really appreciate your comments. I have a new puppy now too, 3 months old. Cheers!
Dude.... That dog is beautiful!! I have a 10 month old fawn mastiff now, and I couldn't help it but to tear up when watching this video. I couldn't imagine. Sorry for your lose bro! I'm sure you have your hands full with another one! I remember the puppy days! Mine is still in the puppy days :( lol
@Dodge360RT - Thanks for the comments man. Diesel was a beautiful dog for sure. Was super hard losing him. I have a fawn puppy myself now. 3 months old. 10 months for yours is still a puppy too! Just love the English Mastiff. Such an amazing dog and friend. Thanks again and cheers.
Had to stop watching this at work because it reminded me so much of our 5 month old Brindle Mastiff named Muggles. I know it has been several months now since you posted, but I am sorry for your loss. We have had our "little" girl for only 3 months now, but I do NOT look forward to the day we have to make our Muggles Tribute. Great Video and song...
@thebitz11 - Thanks for such a kind comment. Today is what would have been Diesel's 4th birthday, so it was great to get that today of all days! Diesel was just not here long enough, 3 years is nothing. I have a new little one, Rufus, who is 3 months right now. He's great, but not a replacement for Diesel at all. I'm sure Muggles is just great. Enjoy the time you have with her. She will bring you much love. Thanks again, all the best.
Loved your video. my wife and i had a brindle english mastiff. his name was sully..alot of the pics in your video reminded me of the way sully was .. we both miss him . thanx for sharin your love for diesel.
@sevilovesani - Sully is a great name for a dog! Nice of you to share your memory of Sully. Diesel was so special and I miss him still, just as you must your pup. Thanks for the nice comments and the best to you and your wife.
This video made me cry.. Thank you for sharing! He looked like an amazing dog! We had a cat who was diagnosed with stomach cancera few years back.. I remember I cried all the way home in the car after we had put him down... I loved my cat Tigger.. It must of been so hard to lose your dog Diesel.. But just remember he is with you in your heart :-) Rest In Peace Diesel !
@katy1423 - Sorry about the tears. Diesel really was amazing. He is with me in spirit I am certain. Miss the big guy still. Sorry about Tigger. Losing pets is really hard. They just aren't around long enough for us.
I love this video. My mastiff is named pinkberry... She is rescued from a puppy mill in Tennessee..... Estimated to have had 80 puppies before her rescue. She is the love of my life and is at least 9 years old right now! She likes to get into my freezer to get ice cream when I am not watching! So sorry for your loss. But he looked soooooo happy in the video! Thank you for sharing :)
@littlemichelle1000 - Wow. Terrible story, for Pinkberry to have had that many puppies. What a great ending though with a stable and loving home with you! Enjoy her! We crammed a lot of living and happiness into the 3 short years that Diesel was with me. My boy had such a great relationship with Diesel, it was a joy for me to just watch those two together! Although it was short, Diesel had a fantastic life and was loved more than he could comprehend. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.
Here is bernie. he wasn't huge like 170lbs ish. i liked for him to be on the thinner side. the less weight the big dogs have to carry around the better. Anyways. He broke my heart! and its still broken i couldn't even think about getting another saint after him. thats why i went with a dane. Oxford is in this video too! but he was a little baby puppy.
This video made me cry. I am so sorry you lost him. I have an english mastiff named Oxford who is large like Diesel. i can't imagine loosing him. I also have a great dane too. I know how tough it is to lose a big baby. Sadly i lost my saint Bernard bernie. He got me through a tough time when my mother had cancer. He was my bestfriend but i had to give him up because of a situation he got himself into. It was so hard kissing him goodbye. i know i wasn't putting him to sleep but it felt lke it.
@42lacey - Thanks for the comments. Putting Diesel down was devastating and the hardest loss I've suffered. Still miss the big guy! Sorry you had to give Bernie away.
@hugsnkisses68 - haha. Yes, it is a very emotional tribute. Thanks for the view and the comments. Those English Mastiffs will get ya, huh? I have a new one, 12 weeks, named Rufus. Some short vids of him on my channel. Love to see some of your boy Reuben! Cheers to you.
@MarieJ6 - Sorry to have upset you with Diesel's story. But he was amazing and such a giant among giants. I will never ever forget him and hope to see him again someday. Thanks for the post.
@MmichelleClarice - yes, well. I still cry when I watch this, which I can't do too often. Diesel was just so magnificent. Such a joy. Always worth it to put the remote down, or get off the computer when the dog comes to get attention. Cherish the time you have with them. It is special. Big hug to your dog too MarieJ6! Thanks for your comment.
What an amazing boy! I love the tribute. I just had to put my EM Zeus down two weeks ago due to lymphoma. He was 6. It's absolutely amazing how these dogs can touch our lives. May they rest peacefully.
@TheJesterChief - I am so sorry to hear about Zeus. I hope you got to spend a few final days with him the way we did with Diesel. Diesel was gone in 3 years, but 6 isn't long either. These giants deserve a loving home since they are here such a short time. Thanks for posting your comment. I now have a new english mastiff puppy to bring life to the house.
Your Diesel was beautiful and looks like he was a BIG SWEETIE! We have a 1 year old brindle English Mastiff, Sandro is his name. He is still growing, at about 130lbs right now, but he looks just like your guy. Your video brought tears to my eyes...glad you shared it though. :-)
@sarie717 - Thank you for the kind comments Sarie. Diesel was the most gentle soul I have ever met, man or dog. Nice to hear about Sandro! Do you have pics or video of him on here? I'd love to see him. There is a new vid I just posted of my two new puppies that I just got to fill the void from losing Diesel. They're super cute.
@joshmarauder - Hey man, sorry about that. Sounds like you're a great dog lover too. I like the Germans and the Danes. Such nice dogs too. I now have a Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) puppy (5 months old now) and a new English Mastiff puppy (11 weeks!). Diesel was just a magnificent animal and was loved by many people. Such a tragedy he was lost to us so young. I still miss him dearly. Sad. Anyway, thanks for your comments man. Hope you and your dogs are well. Cheers.
@amandakara256 - It never gets easier, no matter how many times you go through it, but the joy these big babies bring to your life, and you to theirs! is definitely worth it! I just got a new baby english mastiff, named Rufus! He is adorable and I'm in love all over again. He will never replace Diesel, but I am now off on a new journey with him. I still miss Diesel and have a place in my heart for him always. Good luck with your new puppies! Thanks for your kind comments.
@ModzCast - I'm so so sorry to hear that. I know all too well how awful an experience that is. I hope you are well and that you can cherish the time that you did have with your mastiff. They are amazing gentle giants. Thoughts are with you.
@TrevorPalmatiershow Thank You, and yeah that's what we have to think about, we have to think, well what would you rather have if you were the Mastiff, 6 years of love, care and affection, or 8-10years of abuse, so in that respect he had a very good life while it lasted to bad he departed too early, he dislocated his hip during the night and we had to lift him into the car and take him to the vets:( it was really hard because he was 18st. I will miss him so much:'(
@BigXarlie - Diesel was very young, yes. So sorry to hear about your Dane. Cancer sucks. Despite the sadness and heartache at the end, I wouldn't trade the time I had with Diesel for anything in the world. He was incredible and taught me so much. Cheers to you and thanks for your comment.
I am sorry for your loss. I too had a beautiful English Mastiff that passed too soon. He was only five and developed bone cancer in his knee. It was several years ago and I still miss him. I have always loved dogs, but he had the kindest, sweetest soul of any of our pets.
@lsself123 - I think the mastiffs are the kindest and sweetest of souls. I have had other dogs, but there is just something special about these mastiffs. Sorry to hear about yours. I'm sure you still miss him the way I miss Diesel still.
That's a real shame, sorry to hear about that. He looks just like my boy, same colouring. My boy is 10 months old and is going to be big boy. Great video, great, great dog.
@GLH03 - Thanks for the comments. I have a new english mastiff puppy that I will post a video of soon. Diesel's colouring was so beautiful. Love the brindles. Glad you shared in the memory of big D.
Made me cry and im a grown man. I have 2 mastiffs and love them. my oldest is chewy. At the age of 15 my mother took me to get him. IM NOW 32 AND HES STILL LIVING!!!!!!!!!! his health isnt the greatest but hes still mobile and still loves.
@ruffypoo - Wow! That is an unusually old mastiff! They don't normally live that long. You are very lucky! Cherish the moments with him. I only had Diesel for 3 years. I still miss him.
@Ottomastiff - Thanks ottomastiff. Cherish the moments you have with your dog now. They all go way too soon, mine was just super soon, but he had a terrific life and was so loved by so many, and brought so much happiness to others, and had a really amazing life. That's all anyone, or anything can ask for.
This was an amazing tribute to Diesel. It was evident how much he was loved by all. I don't there is anything that really compares to the love of a dog! He reminds me of our English Mastiff we have now named Hooch. They really are amazing pets. He also gets attention by all and tends to be a star on Facebook with all the posts we put up that talk about the crazy things he does. We cherish him and don't know what we would do without him.
@dperkins31 - I am getting a new english mastiff puppy in 20 days. Watch for some new videos of him. Thank you for such kind comments. I agree that the english mastiff is such a special breed. For me, there will be no other dog! I'm sold on this one. Diesel was so special in my life and I still miss him everyday. He was very very loved. Thanks again, your kind words help the healing.
My Other Dog Bear Died Of Cancer She Was A Huge Dog But Not As Big As Your and She had Bone Cancer In her leg and it spread to here Brain So We Put Her Down
Sad Video I Wouldnt know what to do if my dog bumble [golden retriever] died cause we play together everyday and im 11 years old and have had him for only 1 year and it has felt like forever so im so sorry for your loss almost made me cry.
@GearCosmic - I'm sure you will have many many years left with Bumble! It was very unexpected that Diesel got cancer and died, but it was very unusual. Love your dog as much as you can and spend as much time with him as possible. Remember to be patient and kind and enjoy him! Thanks for posting and sorry if it made you sad.
We are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful dog. It looks like you gave him a beautiful life, and that's all any living being can ask for. Bless you.
@Aidenvalint - Thank you so much for your kind comments. He was a magnificent creature. A true best friend and honestly the gentlest and kindest of souls I have ever run across in an animal or person. He was loved by all he met. Your posting was very touching to me. Thanks for taking the time. Much appreciated and good wishes your way!
@Aidenvalint - Thanks so much for your kind words. Diesel was not just physically impressive, but a gentle and sweet soul too. I really do still miss him. I hope I see him again some day.
this video broke my heart, I was bawling my eyes out watching it, because, I know how you feel, no really, I do, last year, I lost two mastiffs to cancer, and putting them to sleep was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, not a day goes by without my thinking of them, infact, I even got a tattoo to remember them by. but this year, a 14 month old bullmastiff wandered into my life. after losing two, I never thought i'd be happy again, I was wrong!, she's my princess
@HolleeChantelle - It was a terrible loss that broke my heart too and left me bawling still when I watch this. I am about to receive a new English Mastiff puppy in 4 weeks time that will hopefully help to heal the hole in my heart left by my big lug Diesel. So glad to hear your story. It helps to share for sure. I appreciate you taking the time to post. Sending good wishes your way!

DLynnSmith46 1 month ago

Designed2Climb 1 month ago
@Designed2Climb - That was a very special and kind comment. Thank you so much. I am sad for your own loss, and happy that you enjoyed sharing in my tribute to Diesel. His spirit is with me still.

what a beautiful dog.. so sorry for your loss. my wife and i lost our 3year 8month old male jan 11 2011 its been a little over a year and it dont get any easier. they are your family your kid they give so much love. as a tribute to ours my wife and i had his paw dipped in ink and had him step on a peice of paper we took his print to a tattoo shop and had his paw tattooed on us... these dogs(kids) are awesome.. so sorry for your loss and good luck with the puppy
dshawk1 1 month ago

Now if only I could stop the tears!
aveinott 1 month ago
@aveinott - What a lovely comment, and thank you so much. Diesel was my best friend and constant companion. We crammed a lot of love and living into 3 short years. He lit up the room and everyone who met him. You are right, the connection between man and his best friend is amazing. Thank you for such a touching comment. All the best to you and yours.

Listen, sometimes putting them down is the humane thing to do. Had to do the same with my pug Buddha. He was such a great dog. He lived 15 years! I didnt even know diesel but i miss him :( R.I.P
FlipnPray 1 month ago

BLVProductions1 1 month ago

Dodge360RT 1 month ago

Great Video and song...
thebitz11 1 month ago
@thebitz11 - Thanks for such a kind comment. Today is what would have been Diesel's 4th birthday, so it was great to get that today of all days! Diesel was just not here long enough, 3 years is nothing. I have a new little one, Rufus, who is 3 months right now. He's great, but not a replacement for Diesel at all. I'm sure Muggles is just great. Enjoy the time you have with her. She will bring you much love. Thanks again, all the best.

Thank you for sharing :)
littlemichelle1000 1 month ago

Thanks for your comment.

@ModzCast - I'm so so sorry to hear that. I know all too well how awful an experience that is. I hope you are well and that you can cherish the time that you did have with your mastiff. They are amazing gentle giants. Thoughts are with you.
TrevorPalmatiershow 2 months ago

We cherish him and don't know what we would do without him.

this video broke my heart, I was bawling my eyes out watching it, because, I know how you feel, no really, I do, last year, I lost two mastiffs to cancer, and putting them to sleep was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, not a day goes by without my thinking of them, infact, I even got a tattoo to remember them by. but this year, a 14 month old bullmastiff wandered into my life. after losing two, I never thought i'd be happy again, I was wrong!, she's my princess

It helps to share for sure. I appreciate you taking the time to post. Sending good wishes your way!
