Yeah, Garth Ennis is sick but I really like Punisher so I forgive him plus I find both Millar's characters too bizarre compared to the serial bad guys Frank Castle kills on a daily basis.
Yup, still i love Ennis work despite how sick it is, Punisher is great, The Boys is awesome because of how sick the humor is. Also, Crossed is pretty disturbing. Still, Ennis has made some really bizarre characters aswell. The Russian for example and Arseface.
He got his head chopped of in Welcome Home Frank, but was later ressurected as a cyborg-ish person. Also that time he had huge boobs. Then he was nuked. So unless we count the movie, the game and the a alternative earth Punisher Noir-series, that is two deaths only in main 616. 5 deaths if we count all apperances. Not that many compared to Jean Grey.
Didnt really like the 2004 movie of him, and didnt like the version of him. Not chatty enough. The game was great though.
I recall you saying you didn't like the 2004 one. I also found it average & lacking on action but when I resaw (I've seen it 5 times since then), I really enjoyed that depiction as well as the War Zone version (which is like the Best B-Movie ever!)
Anyway, check out the Director's Cut of the 2004 one if you haven't.
I can't believe you hated that fight scene. It was like a total homage to Jaws in James Bond 007 movies
Yeah, i didnt like it and i have seen it a few times to. The latest watch was the directors cut, which i didnt like either. But war zone is ok. About a 6/10. Still not the perfect Punisher movie.
I didnt hate the fight scene, it was one of the highlights. Just didnt like that they changed the Russians personality from funny and chatty to brick wall.

I didn't like the Lundgren one because it's NOT Punisher. Punisher does not sit naked in a sewer like a Ninja Turtle, wear a t-shirt without a skull, etc.
Plus, I didn't find any of the action exciting save for the M60 scene in the casino

Lundgren is a qualified badass, Jane has had some pretty brutal roles now & then and Stevenson gained popularity with just this role & his performance on HBO's Rome

I liked the chit-chat, it maybe wouldnt have worked great in the movie, but they could have given him a single line.
The Dolph one is entertaining as an action movie, nothing more.
