  • I never had any problems with the puzzles, but I agree on the hotkeys.

    It's essential at various bosses, so I stumbled upon this feature when I was looking for the walkthrough for the Sun Temple-boss.

  • Maybe youre not inteligent enough if you complain about not knowing waht to do everything for me seemed pretty obvious. the hot keys the map showing explored areas the whirlpool thing and the songs to be used on the doors or other places. Seriously theres no challenge in figuring this out and even if youre stuck it doesnt take more than a moment of thaught to figure it out..

  • The poison cake makes Fish form trail poison. It's not useful against everything, but for some enemies it works well enough. It actually tells you that in the item description, what it does. :P

    1. The man clearly said to leave them on his blog, implying that he won't read anything written here anyway, thus rendering your bitching irrelevant.

    2. HE'S NOT THE ONE WHO MADE THE GAME, DID YOU EVEN LISTEN TO HIM, IT'S A FRIGGIN' DESIGN CRITIQUE. Ironically enough, his own games conform to your demands, being original in design and hand animated.

  • I found that puzzle with the door to be quite obvious once I saw the markings on the wall. Guess I'm just not one of those "intelligent players" that could miss it. ;) But the other problems you mentioned actually seem quite annoying. Especially the one with the save stations.

  • Huh. Quite more criticisms in this one than in most of your design tours. Looks like Aquaria's dev team missed some pretty obvious things when designing this game.

  • Just wanted to let you know that I bought a copy of Aquaria after seeing this design tour originally on Vimeo and then playing the demo.

    I had never heard of it before.

    It runs well on Linux through WINE.
