Ive just come to the realisation that i have a sensitivity to rosin since starting cello 6 months ago Didn't know that there was a hypoallergenic rosin on the market, was going to enquire at lutier's Thankyou for that info much appreciated Alain xx
@IsaacTheGuitarist The sound from hypoallergenic rosin definitely isn't worse than any other brand, it is simply different in the same way that most brands differ from one another. I'd say give it a try if you have any issue with rosin dust. Especially if you're already using a lighter brand of rosin, it shouldn't be a difficult switch.
how can u try different rosins on the same bow?????

I just rub my monkey hair bow on an old pine stump - works fine for me.

Any suggestions as to what brand of bass rosin to go with?

I used Pirastro Olive from Evah, in my violin because I used Evah Pirazzi strings and is a very clean sound, and is very comfortable to play.

does the hypoallergenic rosin have the same sound as the others? Because I think I might want some of that, but not if it means worse sound. Thanks!
