Le Petomane is a factual character from around the turn of the century. He was a flatulist, extremely popular, and performed for European heads of state. Due to an injury, e was able to take air into his intestinal region and expel it with amazing control. His real name was, ironically, Joseph Pujol (the J is pronounced as an H).
