  • can power noise have ANY melody at all and still be classed as power noise or would that then make it EBM or some other melodic industrial genre?? Big confusing question argued by many industrial fans of today. Anyway, I LOVE this just the way it is, and nothing more can be added to make it any better. Shame I can't buy it anywhere tho, its just a vid, but it signifies the dark side of the big bang to me!! :)

  • @ChrissyboyH44 why couldn't it? music changes. so why not melodic power noise?

  • @ChrissyboyH44 the Power Noise "real name" is not for nothing Rhythm'n'noise and its just really hard and rhythmic elctro-industrial and a melody wouldnt fit in this brute rhythms. sometimes there are melodic parts but very in the background because there is just no space for a primary melody because the most necessary part is the rhythm

  • finally ...a techno influenced industrial sound that doesnt sound shit.

  • Didnt know music could be gay,,,.. .untill I heard this abortion.

  • @TheSlicemanCometh

go back to hipster step and come back when you've grown a dick

  • @limitless45 This is the worst music on the internet. Calling this music is an insult to Milli Vanilli.

  • @TheSlicemanCometh Music is just arranged noise. If you can't appreciate this, your loss. However, people with higher intelligence can comprehend more art than people with lower intelligence.

  • eso es musica y no mamadas como el mierdaton y las de justi bieber

  • I would drive hours to see this live. :D

  • Imagine if this was how music was, everyone was original and created thier own defined genres and there was no such thing as "mainstream" or understream/underground. Musical heaven. maybe not on earth, we're not smart for this an alien race yes.

  • its toooooo long shorten it everyone wants a kit they dont want the hit to blow their leg off

  • awesome, with a little highat and a snare it would have been even more awesome

  • the only time i saw 500 put their hands over their ears simultaniously, when he started to play his liveset

  • It is quite similar to Industrial Darkcore.. nice

  • ниачём ваще,

    техна безмозглая

  • This is what what true industrial music sounds like IMO. I love blasting this song. Pure headbanging factory music

  • damnn this is tight

  • "hotel mack" is a subliminal message in this

  • THIS OWNS

  • this blows

  • Stop labeling everything, its music, period, if you cant hear it and blame it for being this or that label, you dont know shit about music. So what it uses heavy kickdrums and distortions, hear past it.

Rhytmically and melodically, this is perfectionism.

  • @DrKuryakin

THANK YOU!!! It's music, it's art, so just listen to it, and if you don't like it, then get lost and find something else.

  • prota super. klausijos un baroju pīles.

  • communism would work n an autonomist level. nations have become too large...

  • @DeadboyandGravegirl

    and democracy does work? heh.

  • Democracy is the only system that hasn't resulted in mass slaughter of it's own people.

  • @kankeriseenziekte it sure doesn't, I was in no way trying to say anything positive about capitalism whatsoever. I was just trying to praise the breaking down of a global/nationwide power system...

  • @DeadboyandGravegirl the zeitgeist movement advocates one type of social setting that would definitely work today

  • from 1996(!) the perfect soundtrack for the eigtht world war.

  • like also lost highway but this is his best tune ever....

  • amazing.

'tentack' has always been one of my fav tracks from this genre.

    great visuals!

  • Power Noise is a rhythmic subgenre of industrial music which seems to be so under-rated these days. It's nearest genre is usually industrial techno which I also LOVE.. all wicked stuff!!! ;-)

  • Dear God this is fucking awesome.

  • brutal industrial !!!!! very good for crash bones!!!!

  • POWER NOISE RLUES FTW!!!!

  • weird video. 27 is important?

  • Good song, bad video.

  • Im pretty sure the recording in the beginning is a sample of radio communication between a squad of US soldiers and their base, they allegedly had a ufo encounter, I heard the sample on tv, in a program about UFOs telling the story.

  • I love these visuals - raw and gritty!

  • Yeah...if people see it they're going to die and burn in hell...

  • And what's wrong about communism?

  • Communism is good, More communism to the people.

No im not kidding. and why is communism associated with german powernoise :P? lol

  • exactly my point too!

  • can anyone explain: if this is meant to be post-industrial, why does it sound just like a any industrial shit? I'm trying to figure out what post-industrial music has got to add to the scene, but cant at the moment. would anyone help?

  • Because Industrial proper, as defined by the likes of Throbbing Gristle and Industrial Records back in the '70s, sounds nothing like this.

Post-industrial includes EBM, Darkwave, Power Noise (which is what this is), Coldwave, Neofolk, Martial industrial/military pop, and Aggrotech, among others.

The sound's changed quite a bit in the past 30 years.

  • thanx for this. could you specify what exactly changed in the sound technically? it's not sterile arguments, I'm really trying to figure it out coz i'm doing a research on post-ind. art in general. thanx

  • Be careful with your terminology. Post-industrialism in sociology has _nothing_ to do with post-industrial music, at least not intentionally. The former focuses on privitization and general shifts in consumerism while switch the economy from a manufacturing basis to one of service.

The latter is music that took "Industrial Music" as an influence, and continued the dystopianism. Whereas "industrial" music borrowed from musique concrete to sound less "agricultural"... (continued)

  • Post-industrialism generally pushes to sound even less "organic" than industrial did. Industrial music took influences from Dadaism and Surrealism and . Many post-industrial subgenres (with the exception of Neofolk, maybe), rely even heavier on synthesized beats and a relentless abuse of the Roland-909 drum machine. Post-industrial is usually much less free-form and more impersonal, to say the least.

  • Rurne: Thank you very much for your explanation, especially the distinction between soc.post-ind and music. This is very helpful! Thanx!

  • @Rurne Too many damn labels. If it sounds good why change what people think it is?

  • @Rurne Personally, I think that industrial is more of a combination of Intent and method, at which point powernoise is probably the closest relative of industrial, its basically industrial and some kind of hardcore techno or trance. Sample noises and random non-musical sounds, Add massive amounts of distortion, Put to rhythm.

  • @Rurne aggrotech has SURELY nothing to do with post-industrial it isnt even industrial, its just darker techno. power noise is industrial but it was developed years after the end of the post-industrial era.

  • geiloo

  • fucking amazing video

  • Whoo! I love this song, but that video'll give you a seizure, which is probably the idea, haha.

  • Great song.

  • Very great track ... I like Power Noise!

  • Industrial Experimental maybe ... but the best song by Imminent Starvation is Selfdestruct! Can you make a video for this track? And can you upload Selfdestruct to YT?

  • Great video, great track!

  • i love
