i remember before i went to my bp training, and i had no idea what bp was, i watched this clip over and over practicing in my room. i was under the impression that i had to make up choreography, and i was totally going to use this! brings back memories seeing it again :D
Ouch Ouch Ouch...poor knees, this guy is overextending so much it hurts just to watch him, also insted of more repetitions they ought to go down further.
not to be picky....but it appears your doing the counts too fast.... time under tension.... theres no continuious flow... your doing a 3+1 count then holding for 1...... anyone else thinking that or is it just me?
@kacie7586 bodypump is set up so that instructors have to learn the specific choreography to specific music. if you'll notice, the exercises perfectly correspond to the music. they have no freedom to do their own routines. while they can mix and match different sets together (a new set comes out every quarter), such as a quads routine from one video and a biceps routine from another, they have no flexibility beyond that.
@vanhalen07 I think i have a fair idea what im talking about seeing as im a LM instructor myself... thank you... and seeing as im not the only person stating this fact its obvious that its not just me who thinks it...
Where are the initial set up cues? I hear about instructors talking too much, is this guy working out or is he the coach? Check out the week knees just a split second before coming up, I was going to address his weight selection (too light!!) but he's not nearly strong enough to go heavier...need more practice mate, you'll get there some day! :)
Hmmm...I didn't know our body pump program was international. We use these programs in my gym in northen norway and I always thought it was made by the managment of the gymchain. Next week it is release of number or 67.
haha, it was pretty much the third time I've done the class entirely on my own... and I was nervous because of the cam... usually timing is my strong asset

you are doing the squats wrong, they are poor in form and not controlled

Your elbows keep moving back and forth. Keep them under the bar when you are at the top. Check the elbows of presenters on the DVD.
Your knees are shaky.

not there, one of the reasons I didn't get my licence for that video ^^;
I have it by now, though, and my cues got way better.
also... DUDE, I'm already at 30kg (6 plates a 5kg), I can't fit any other plates on my bar :C
(hrm... I need to push my boss to get a pair of these 10kg plates)
Thanks for the crit, it's appreciated ^^

Thanks ^^
TaurusJay 3 years ago
Do you find that weight to be heavy or comfortable? I am on the same weight at the moment and thinking of going up before I start to instruct.
briannabeer 3 years ago
Actually, I went easy on me, for the recording's sake. Didn't want to start panting that much during it. I usually take 3x5kg on each side.
