All she has to do is file a false case and make the husband and in-laws run around for years in the courtrooms and police station! Once they see that the while system is stacked against them, they compromise (read: give into the extortion demand of the wife.)
IPC 498A is torture tool in the hands of unscrupulous wives who have decided to end their marriage. Send hubby and in-laws to jail without any prior investigation (IPC 498A), get interim maintenance money (judge has to pass that without looking into the merits of the case in CrPC 125)
Now the dowry is removed by law so a women can go to in-laws house with her tits and lower part of her body .This will be part of her investment in new home.
