this car is at a gas station on 11 east n sirgoinsville tennesee . there used 2 be a note inside on the windsheld . this is a third jump from the tv show 1982 . signed by the producer as a gift 2 the man that used 2 own the gas station . and said that he had begged 4 the car 2 be displayed here .
Looks real enough to me. I think the wheels are correct. One of the tires is a white letter but that could have been replaced for transporting it or something. The paint and patina looks like it could have been sitting that long. I think its cool either way.
idiot that a jumped car from 2004 duke fest not a tv or movie car! ck out videos for the 2004 duke fest this is the car that did the jump notice the incorrect whls duhh...is not in any way a real general lee from the tv series or the 2 movies!
@bandit3271980 OH MY DEAR HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!! Can you ever forgive me for mis-stating?!?!?!? Oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE forgive me!!!! I'm SOOOOO sorry!!!!!
@bandit3271980 you wrong. the paint and rust on that car is 25+ old. Plus the weels matches the originals, so is the front bumper and the original white primer inside, chain for the doors, everything that an old fashioned stunt car has to have. Nowadays, all stunt cars have to be painted i,nside the cockpit with ingnifuge black paint. You dont know shit, do you?
@bandit3271980 what the hell u mean incorrect wheels they r the same fukin wheels as they used in the series i think u shuld do a lil more lookin at the orginal general lee b4 callin ppl idiots
If this was a real dukes car it would be SWEET AS HELL to fix the car exterior frame all that and leave the interior amd roll bars all that in it that would be very cool
No way this is a TV show General Lee. If it was from the show it would be alot more rusted and worn. It would be bad rusted after sitting for over 25 years
@mws755 thats depends , i have a 77 nova thats been sitting on the farm for 16 yrs and other then the paint is big time faded its fine, this car could have been in a warehouse , or a garage somewhere
i think about 400 general lee's ended up like this (wrecked, not displayed at the side of the road) most of them will have been crushed or sold for parts.
@playingwithfirehurts its on hwy 11E between rogersville and churchill tennessee... actually, its closer to churchill... dont know what store though... i think it was a bp station or something
What's the number on the dash? Lee 27 or 85 as an example. All the show cars were numbered. Knowing the car number could lead you to what episode it was used in.
It couuld b fixed restored even if the frame is bent all u would have to do is either cut off the section of the bent frame and replace it with the same section of frame from another '69 or '68 Charger oru could unbend the framr with one of them machines that unbends car frames
There's no way it's a dukefest car. One cause of the aging, two the interior is setup different from what they would use at dukefest. Is Churchill near cookeville?
It's too bad that it isn't under some sort of cover to keep the elements from completing destroying it. Ben Jones (AKA Cooter) used to have his place here in Virginia back in boonies and it was amazing to see people come from several different points of the globe during special events. Financially I can understand the move but it was a better setting ( my opinion) back in the mountains of Virginia.
@airsoftloverusp well you can restore it but othing will really be the original peice a lot of the parts will have to be replaced and i know a small amount about cars planty to get one going if it has a small problem aint bad for a girl that nver worked on a car and just listens to the problems my brothers trucks faces the only way i learn things i know the basics i guess you can say
@TempTRat Wow...i could kick myself...i was just through there and had no idea it was there....now im in idaho and no chance of getting back anytime soon.
those rims and front bush guard are probly worth quite abit, im surpriased that they just let it sit, doesnt looks like much could be salavged, but i'd try to restore it if possible.
@sweetmamoth Even if the car is an actual General lee from the show. Those rims aren't worth anything. Those are not the correct 'ten spoke' rims. I have the actual General Lee from the movie that did the Freeway Jump.
@richardmaudsley77 It is sitting in my driveway on my trailer. There are pictures if it on the website 'motortopia'. Or I can send you pictures of it if you would like.
Correct me if you think I'm wrong. That car is a totalled POS but its still probably worth more than a halfway decent 69 Charger. I'd still love to have it. I think I'd set the body on a full frame (not a 4x4) and and pull the front back down and drive that peice of history, Maybe a monte carlo frame or something
@XBLXxR1fleManxX I have actual video of that car jumping . I worked with the stunt crew that helped put that cac together and shot some video of the car jumping.
