I've listened to Tom T since 1971. When I first heard this song I thought it was pretty good but it didn't hit any real emotional chords. Then Mom died. And everything changed. I can't hear it without a tear now. Good job on a wonderful song.

I remember.....standing in the kitchen talking to Mom seriously about how Tom T. had gone home to Kentucky and met with the miners families who'd been lost in the disaster in 1971 and how he was going to make people pay attention to what had happened. And I think he really made a difference. One of my strongest memories BTW. Only 40 years ago.

well I have't heard any covers of Mr. Hall untill now. But I don't expect to hear anyone do a better job than you! He is a hard act to follow with his gentle voice, but you did it! Wonderful job. I hope there is, or will be other covers.
