Wow! Thank you! I can't tell you how great it feels to get compliments like this. :-) I started writing with the intention of creating great pieces of literature, but somehow I've stumbled across a passion for poetry. I've completed 2 poetry books set to be released at the end of this year.

As far as Maya Angelou is concerned, it would be a dream and an honor to expose my work to her, but there are so many talented poets out there that I'm afraid that that particular dream will remain a dream.

The book - The Unperfect Society - was so important in shaping my view of life I kept the quote! He was part of the Communist leadership of Yugoslavia trying to build a 'perfect' utopian society. As he wrote, Utopianism, once it achieves power, becomes dogmatic, and it can quite readily create human suffering in the name and it the cause of its own scientism and idealism." Hence the idea of 'unperfect.'
