This song is not politically correct... but I love it anyway. Mick Jagger's vocals... Charlie's drums... that double guitar sound. Keith Richards' swagger. Oh... the Rolling Stones are one of the greatest bands ever.
It's sad that when I write articles for my newspaper about the Rolling Stones, people in 11th grade think that Mick Jagger is a fictional character from the Maroon 5 song. Ugh, it's depressing.
@thetrueampvamp It really is! No one but a select few, know who Paul McCartney is, not to mention great bands like Pink Flyod or Led Zeppelin. Its sad, I love these people, I wear a Bob Dylan shirt and no one notices, or if the Beatles play on the radio, the change the station, what is happening to music? :(
One of my all time favorites from the Stones. I'll be blowing this song out of the stereo of my car when I am 70 years old if I live that long. :) :) :D
1. A musical reference associated with New York City (NYC), perhaps in criticism of the NYC of the 1970s. The Rolling Stones sang ". . . Shadoobie, my brains been battered. . . " in the song "Shattered" which was not only about Manhattan and NYC at large but possibly was in reference or response to Frank Sinatra's lyrical style, "Do be do be do", and his identity with NYC as established in his song "New York New York".
this album came out when I was a junior in high school. remember bring it to a party at someones basement. What a good time, not much good music today..........katy perry, lady gaga garbage

@avonbarksdale420 thats what brought me here.
Son:Jimmy Pellegrino's dad says Mick Jagger is gay
Gil: Jimmy Pellegrino's dad takes it up the ass
His sons reaction is priceless.
I know it wasn't the same scene, but that was fucking epic.

Charlie Watts' drumming was skilled on this tune. So little is known of how truly talented he was with a basic drum kit.
