Robin Hood is going to die at the end of the next series anyway. The bloke who plays him is leaving the show. By the way, having an Arab character in Robin Hood is fine,seeing as this was the time of the Crusades.

The old British (not "British" in the way we use it today)setting would've been better, instead of all the medieval costumes. Crap CGI, as well. Too much emotional stuff. These stories are about quests and adventure, not whining about feelings.

just my personal opinion: it seemed that characters did not developed very well. I barely noticed there had been any transition in the way how Merlin regarded Auther. In the very beginning, he said Auther was an ass. But just in the following episode, he cheered for Auther and truely wanted him to win the tournament.

I watched two episodes of Merlin but found it intolerable to me. Some lines are just too artificial and sound weird in accordance to some specific scenes. Maybe my taste to fantacy movies has increased after watching the Mists of Avalon.

Yet again the BBC push their political agenda by shoe-horning in another ethnic minority into another medieval drama! First they put an asian woman into Robin Hood, and now a black woman into Merlin! FFS! It's so obvious it's ridiculous! Is there now some unwritten rule in the Beeb that says "There must be at least one token ethnic in each program, no matter how incongruous or blatantly PC it looks?"

Guinevere and Arthur marry. That's a semi-historical fact. If the BBC change the Arthurian legends the sma e way they changed the Robin Hood legend (i mean with Marian dying and all) I will be really pissed off. You can't just re-write centuries-old legends!

actully, technically RObin ad Marian did get married so all they did wasbought foward her death by about 30 years. I was well pissed off too though >:( i LOVED robin hood :( and miss it!!!!! loving Arthur though

I thought it seemed pretty clear that there is something smouldering between Arthus and Merlin! Arthur's whole 'When I meet the right 'person'' thing and them being two halves of a coin. Nice to see Arthur is gonna ride off to save Merlin now. Yay!

It's just cringe-worthy because of the role of the characters. I'm not hating Angel Coulby - i think she'll really pretty and a great actress. She's a suitable love interest, but she's not Merlin's: hence, cringe.

Merlin falls in love with Nimway(Gwen) and he did teach his magics to her, but for long she disused her magics against her lover, imprisoning him! It seems that at times the wisest of men can make mystakes.

it was in old english so i changed it, it was an england level where she discovers king arthur is real. buy it if you are interested in myths.

I think the best episodes are ones with a not-very-active villan, where the core 4 + Uther and Gaius can just interact. It's so much fun. From what I heard, the new season starts January, which is exciting!!

Apparently Merlin comes on at around 6 pm, but because I don't have BBC1, I have to watch it online. I did the same with Robin Hood.

Both shows are amazing though, even if I have to watch them a day later. :)
