  • I still belive in you dear AMERICA.

  • Eu acho que a AMERICA devia dar o exemplo a todos os paizes do mundo no que diz respeito as energias limpas e renoáveis e deixar de ser aquele monstro poluidor que todos odeiam.

  • You have to be a damned fool to truly believe thi9s recycled "chicken little" story.

Its disappointing to see Arnie lying about global warming. He clearly knows its a farce but in his quest to be loved the truth appears not to matter.

  • Go Arnold Go.. get California and the USA, Green and Ready !

  • This episode was all about driving, driving, driving. It spent barely 2 minutes on mass transit. Notice that 1% of California's transportation budget goes to mass transit?? No wonder we are all stuck in our cars.

  • excellent Arnold , its what we have to do fast!

  • Oil, coal and other fossil fuels have always been there below the earth's surface, it's the technology that allowed us to bring them out and use it for energy. We can do the same thing with solar, wind, wave, etc., Home computers were just a dream 25 years ago, look how big of an industry it has become. We are Americans, and Yes we can!

  • Why can't hemp be legally used for fuel?

  • Who needs hemp? Miscanthus and Jatropha are just as good if not better.

  • Exporting 700 billion dollars a year for oil is gambling.Gambling that it won't run dry or come back as terror.Gambling that we can carelessly pollute the land, water and air without any repercussions.

  • Are you kidding me? Is California going green too much too soon???

We are making more of a gamble by not pushing it fast enough!!

So when is it going to be enough to get people to go green? when the price of gasoline goes up to $10 a gallon? maybe $20 a gallon?

Nova, you fail in your attempt to get more viewers by creating controversy where there is none.

Go back to doing your shows like you use to do, by informing people the right way, not with drama!

  • Have you seen the entire episode? I doubt it. There definitely is one kind of controversy, a big one...lack of money. In the show it explains that there are lower-class people who can barely afford their meals and rent, and can't afford to go green that easily. Watch the show before you start acting like an arrogant critic.

  • Actually, you look more arrogant by calling them "lower-class people". There is no such thing, we are all first-class citizens.

    I think you mean low-income.

I did see the episode, and that is just a poor excuse.

If they can barely afford their meals and rent, will they be able to afford a price increase in fuel?

If fuel price goes up, so does the price of products to offset the fuel price increase. Stores have to add an increase to that also for the same reason. Will they afford it then?

  • By making vehicles more fuel efficient, it will mean less consumption of fuel, which in turn means fuel prices will go down.

Grocery stores and retail stores, and any kind of store that sells products have to pay for the shipments of those products to their stores. Imagine all the fuel they use to get them there.

Have you ever heard of fuel surcharge? The price of fuel goes down and so does the fuel surcharge, in turn making products more affordable for everyone.

  • Investments don't come from thin air. They come from our wallets. These low-income individuals can't afford to lease another car, even a fuel efficient one. They can barely afford compact fluorescent light bulbs for their homes. They are making ends meet not without struggle. Telling them to buy those $500-$1000 solar panels would be a joke. This is what this NOVA episode is trying to convey. And of course there would be drama in such a human struggle.

  • Ahnuld is bold. I think this is a gamble that will pay off, in the end. The sooner we end our dependence on foreign oil the better. Arnold is smarter than his acting career showed.

  • Arnold was already a millionaire several times over before he went into acting. The dude knows what time it is.

  • ooh interesting
