the people don't elect representatives, the majority elects them and the minority has to wait and cry at home for 5 years (i think) whatever, real power rests in directly acting to change your own life. i don't vote on a mayor who promises homeless help, i help the homeless. i really on myself, my own labor, and the labor of my freinds and neighbors, these are things i can see and feel, democracy is an allusion and moral dodge of the responsibility of the individual to make his views seen.

@death9719.I do believe the Majority is made up of the people and to make a decision overtly supporting the minority over the majority is unjustified at face value. Representatives have 2-year terms and Senators have 6-year terms. While Individual sovereignty is important and encouraged, that of governmental representation is equally important. Democracy is not a mere allusion, and to assert such a notion is to imply predisposed distrust rather than a rational judgement on the manner.
