I'm finally starting to hear folks talk about how much they were influenced by Mountain. They were Queen, before Queen existed. Mtn had classically influenced chord changes, a gtr player with great wide vibrato, and nice dynamics. Good job on the acoustic vocal rendition.
That was fun. Thanks. Does anybody remember a short instrumental song by MOUNTAIN entitled "KING'S CHORALE" that was on the album "FLOWERS OF EVIL"? It's a beautiful melody and I found it on LIMEWIRE. Check it out it. It's a pretty tune.
Ok...now I wanna see Mississippi Queen, followed by Sittin' On A Rainbow!!! JUST KIDDING! The Climbing album was my favorite Mountain LP. You don't do a bad job covering Felix's vocals here, bub! Great Job! LC
can you put the chords down here? i see you start on e minor than to d and than the c chord.can you just name the rest of the chords?just write the chords dont worry about any explainations. we can use the video for that. thanks in advance
Em to D to C to Em7 to Am to Em. Repeat. Then, A-E-F#m-C#-D-A-G... "there are years..." A-E-F#M-D. "and I know..." A-D-F#m (repeat this last three). Instrumental: Em......G-F#m-Em-D,,,G-F#m-Em-D-A... This is about where I drop the sheet music and stop playing, but it actually goes through all of this again. Thank you for watching!
There was a perfect take that had every verse and went all the way to the end... however, the tape ran out after one minute. I didn't know until it was over. That's why I hate this one!
Great stuff.

It's not 'almost' Mountain, Mr. S.
It's yours; beautiful as is.
And your ending is both sweet and rousing. Thank you.

Thanks. I really enjoyed hearing the song again. It's been years. The last time I saw them live was at the Felt Forum in NYC in the early 1970s.

Or possibly just the chorus of Child in Time by Deep Purple...particularly suited to your choirboy vocals
