Mentally ill in Prison

hey Im doing a project for school and my topic is incarcerating the mentally ill..i think this is a great clip and would like to use it for my project. is there any way that i could download it or get it from somewere else?????

The state mental hospital that I work at is over full and are way over budget. There is nothing that can really be done unless the government increases the budget for these state hospitals. And they are more likely to approve building a new jail than adding a ward to a state hospital.

If a mentally ill patient was ignored and placed in isolation not only to become worse in their condition but the reaction that people would have if they found out about the violence and mistreatment that person was subject to in prison. It highlights the fact that the department of corrections is now playing a large and very exceptionally difficult role in the mental health system....a prison was meant to detain true criminals not victims of the mind...

Just because a criminal happens to be mentally ill doesn't mean they should be given a get-out-of-jail free card. We must protect society from these monsters! Unless you want one of these crazed maniacs killing your family and friends (or worse!) Society creates laws to keep peace and order. If we allow people to break laws, order will be lost. And chaos will take over. Do you want to live in a world of chaos? Think about that next time you have sympathy for the devil!

@brassmonkeyjew You must be either joking or relieved that they haven't caught you yet. All crimes share one thing in common, the lack of empathy by the offender. You do not treat someone insane as if they were a criminal nor more than you would beat a man for not running as you told him to do when he has a broken leg. You display that very lack of empathy that criminals possess in your remark.

@brassmonkeyjew A leading symptom of mental illness is the discrimination against people with mental illness, I speak with the experience of someone who has suffered for many years with mental illness. If your words hurt me, should I seriously consider promoting that you are confined to protect me from further hurt. I would much rather promote making the resource available to alleviate the pressure on people who are in situations that cause the hurtful behavior.

@brassmonkeyjew You are an obviously naive twit, let me explain something, someone gets misinterpretted as exhibiting criminal behaviour and sent to prison, in prison a bunch of thugs homosexual predators and similar get hold of this person and mould them, after which they are released from prison then buy/rent the home next to your's :) cool analogy eh ? Jerkovsky your a fucking idiot....first they are not referring to proper 'equipment' as high powered rifles....they are referring to the humane and proper way of treating the mentally ill by therapeutic cessions and medications which can stabilize their conditions so that they can function adequately in society.

Not equipped to handle them? They got guards armed with batons, high powered, guns, tasers, Pepper spray, handcuffs and a variety of restraining devices and methods.  They also might have dogs too. Lets's not forget the other prisoners who may just give some feebleminded lunatic a beat down to pass the time.
