I hope it is. Shannara lore may not be as good as say Lord of the Ring's or the Wheel of Time's, but I love Terry Brook's writing.

Good series to suggest. I have all his books to date as well as the Chronicles of the Necromancer series and love them.

I bought the first book, "the summoner" just as a random buy. I was desperate for some fantasy to read and liked what I read on the back cover.

I read the entire book in one night, yes it was that good. I REALLY enjoyed it. Ever since it came out I've been waiting for the next two books to be released. Will be buying them soon.

If Gail. Z. Martin continues to make such good and interesting work then I'll keep buying it.

If you still want to read good fantsy try Diamond Thorn By david Edding. His Belgraid series puts Lord Of The Rings to shame

Already read all of Eddings stuff years ago.

Belgariad, Mallorean and his Sparhawk series.

Gave up after those. He uses the same theme in every one of his series. Read one you've read them all.

How is the The Redemption of Althalus is unlike any of his other books. Have you read Fiest?

I've read Althalus as well. And it has the same setup as the rest.

And I've read all feists books. My favourite authors are a close tie between Katherine Kerr and Raymond E Feist.

Funny you should mention Kerr. I bought Red Wyver just last week and just couldn't get into it. Have you read Donaldson? Thomas Covenant Rule.

I still think the petty arguements between Carina and Jonmarc from the first book are hilarous.

They should release these as films... That would be awesome :D

Great great couple of books. I love the characters! They can make me laugh, smile, or even go white-knuckled at their actions! Truly worth reading.

Can't wait for book three to come out.

Oh, and because it says it is a Chronicle (which is normally seven books) does that mean this series will have four more installments beyond Dark Haven?
