Doesn't work, they just e-mail you back saying that if you are prepared to go to court then file again because they will sue you if you are actually infringing their rights. So ONLY go through this process if they made a mistake in giving you a strike.

This is a very common problem I have had 4 videos flagged with bogus claims by at least 4 different entities claiming copyright to my videos just last week alone. Two videos were of me riding my motorcycle which I filmed using my Flip Video camera a couple days ago and obviously I own the footage. One video was flagged immediately after it was uploaded on a sunday afternoon with only 2 views, one from me and the other from SME (aka- UMG,Dance all Day,Believe, and Rebeat Digital GmbH among many!

Another company going by Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society Content also files bogus CR claims on videos including even against artist and musicians, filmmakers and designers, etc simply to cause conflict. I disputed my claims and filed counter claims against the parties including You Tube informing them that if my videos are removed I will walk over to the Federal Courthouse and file against You TUbe and the false claimants for filing bogus copyright claims with is a Federal crime.

For SME to claim a CR on my video with 3 minutes after upload on a sunday afternoon about 5pm with a holiday on Monday is impossible aside from being illegal. The US CR Office is closed on Sunday and Federal holidays, they have no way to immediately file claim without the USCR researching and they would not be able to submit an original copy of my footage which was edited by me. Here is what I did to fight back. I tracked down all the false claimers above as I mentioned. I found their websites..

How many upload views do you have and what are your maximum views on a video and the average views. You must have an average of 2 thousand views per video and maximum views on a video should be 10 thousand. And your upload views should be near 50 thousand. So if you get the strike removed then go for it.
