Thanks for the video, It's finally nice to see a lefty demonstrate how to do this stuff (i'm a lefty too). It's somewhat difficult trying to figure it out watching a righty. I always get it to open up and catch it in the normal position instead of the ice pick position. Any suggestions?

@PlaySteamGames A Balisong knife and Butterfly knife are the exact same thing. The one the spy guy has is I think (basing from memory a Benchmade 42 also I'm not sure witch kind this guy has. Hope that was some help.

I don't think balisongs are good for throwing. I've seen people throing balisongs, but always from a short distance. a balisong is too handle-heavy to throw decently.

Yea if you want a knife good for throwing you need a throwing knife but not the cheap small ones look for one with a stick like handle and a blade thats leaf shaped

I've basically used aluminum handled steal blade switch knives, but apparently they're illegal (okay, I knew they were), so my babies got taken away. I got a few butterfly knives and learn how to do the basic twirl so I could just flip it out.

Yeah, the heavier weight is really a problem, and I need to learn fast. Any attachments I can put on to balance it out?

well, the spyderfly handles are heavy indeed, and it will take a while to get used to. but once you do get used to the weight, it is a great flipper, good for momentum tricks

Great instructions. I can get the knife to move the way I want it but my hand cant seem to find the right possition to catch it correctly. I catch it by the blade more often than not. Any advice?

when you do the drop; move your hand up; the balisong will flip in the right position; then move your hand down a bit so you can catch it properly.

give it a few slow tries; then speed it up
