I've heard plenty of recordings of this song (and seen it live twice), and this is the best one. The orchestra and other musicians are allowed to shine and no one dominates the music. Pure genius.

One of my favourite singers (Blue Nile are amazing) and one of the best songs I've ever heard. The coolest part about it is that I tried to explain how great this 'new Peter Gabriel song' was that I'd never heard before and he instantly started singing this! Mr Adrian Brown is something of a genius (although he probably already knows this:-) )
