damn, virgil is beyond technique, is beyond being JUST technician, there's a true personality in all the things he plays, you can tell he's virg 4 seconds in...he's raw power, an entire life behind the drums, just look at how the camera wiggles from afar!!...dude, that's power, virg makes the difference, we can like it or not, but every drummer and musician in the world should pay respects to virgil donati, one of the best drummers of ALL time...
How many times I have heard someone say one drummer or another is "awesome", and then I watch a video of him soloing and I can't help but think: "This is 'awesome'? This is just ad-nauseum quadruplets. Virgil Donati could outplay this guy with his left foot."
But I understand that to a lot of people, it's not about how skillful and creative you are as a drummer, it's how sweaty and macho you look while drumming.
yeah virgil is AUSSIE!!!!! But lives in US. :) anyone here play the drums?

Virgil is just incredible!! Awesome technique and great energy always!!!
saw him at a clinic where he was set up with his back to the audience, just so you could clearly see what his feet were doing!!!

This guy is simply heads and shoulders above almost everyone who ever lived.
He's so powerful and just takes command of the set like it's effortless.
To call him a monster would be an insult. He's beyond beast!
