....time & time again...an Absolute Joy to view, it brings such a smile to ones face ....Nobody could ever have done it as good as Danny........How lucky we were to have had him as a Great Quality Entertainer..........I bet the heavens is roaring with laughter.....Thanks again for posting......it sure is Appreciated.....
..others may say what they want...but Danny was pure entertainment class...will we ever see another like him?..i doubt it.....Splendid clip with excellent camera skills to match, that enhanced the pleasure of viewing....Thanks for posting....
what a fantastic man,,and anyone who cant see hes was a fab entertainer then you really dont know entertainment the man who had the balls to do this in the 60s etc love you danny rip xx
What an amazing artist he was. I saw his glamourous show in London so many years ago. Arriving on stage in an exquisite dress, his opening line in a deep voice was 'watcha mate'. Very funny! Years later I saw his show in Toronto Canada and took the program I'd saved from his London show backstage which he kindly autographed. He had wonderful stage presence and perfect timing, his humour was 'cheeky' and endearing but never unkind, in the best vaudeville tradition. Danny will be greatly missed.
Putting on a dress and singing (or rather 'talking through') a song with the words 'Joan Collins' in it isn't the same as doing an impression of Joan Collins.
go and ask joan if she thinks the same as you danny never did an impression of anyone who took parts of them and had a laugh with them never at them maybe you should ask all the ladies he took of just what they thought
also tell me how did he keep the sucess going for 60 years i think you need to watch his interview on an irish programme called The Late Late Show just google it and there is one from 1987 where he explains in detail just what he is and remember there are friends of his on here keeping and eye on such stupid comments
Amen I looked at the Danny videos and what I saw was a man in a gown with strange singing voice > I guess British people have different taste than others unless he was better live and the videos do not due justice.
you just don't see the point in this video its dan doing joan collins who doesn't sing in real life,he never did impressions of anyone maybe you should watch him on the Late late show from back in87 he explains it all there, the whole point was he was a comic in a frock
your really missing the point here dan didn't do impressions of anyone he was doing joan who doesn't sing so he does it the way she would,he was a comic in a frock he dressed like them as much as a 6 foot man could who had around a 40 inch chest pity you missing the point of what dan was which is a star in the true sense of the word for 60 years
Unfortunatley the whole series that Dusty did for ITV in 1968 where Danny was a guest was wiped by ITV.Its such a shame :-( Thank goodness we still have most of Dusty's BBC series and luckily Danny's Tv special "A night out with Danny La Rue"
