the black looks really nice but it gets too many smudges and scratches but the white one doesnt get any smudges or scratches so yeah the white one is the one to go with rather than the black
I like it. I still don't use any kind of protective cover and it still doesn't look dirty or scratched (the apple logo has a bunch of scuffs on it though). Since it is usually sitting face up, I don't really notice the white at all. The thing that bugs me is the move from Verizon to AT&T and now I get a bunch of dropped calls. Even after the 2.1 firmware upgrade.
you know the switch too tern it on and off is it one of thoes were it terns itself on if u just touch it cus it has to go in my school blazer pocket for school and if it gose off i get a detention and my phone taken off me !
i had the iphone 3g white and it got scratch cuz i hit it with a control lol and i returned it before the 30 day returning thing expired they took it in and now im going to get a bran new one hahaha

The glass is tempered, I think. Anyway, no scratches on the screen. On the white, it is plastic, but pretty durable. I don't have any kind of protector and I have just been carrying it in my pocket. It has a bunch of tiny little scratches in the apple logo, but no real scratches in the white casing.

Yeah true. But white get's dirtier and the dirtiness is more visible.
