Hi Trevor. Your right there my friend the new Flip HD camera works really well. I have had one for about 4 mounths and have made 24 videos that are posted on my channel right now. I have a few that have not been uploade as of yet. Its a nice easy to use small camera. I have another cam corder as well and make use of both. Have a great day.

My sony bloggie duo blows away all the flip video camera's out there. Flip can't record in 1080p and also can't read text on magazines or books due to bad autofocus. Sony Bloggie takes care of that by reading text when zooming in close shots. Glad i never gotten a flip camera. also bye bye flip camera's Cisco has Discontinued making flip camera's LOL love it...

Then you have to tie it up while downloading, etc. Most of the population = senior and these people because of poor eyesight, concentration, not wanting to learn new technology are not going to want to fumble with a cell. @schwinnprotocol Segments you record appear as squares which you can trim or just put in order and press "movie"! I suggest after making a movie, run it through the mill again but this time press "magic movie" and flip will make a much shortermovie featuring the highlights. It's great!

AWESOME video. I used to have the old dvr camcorders, but mine was very specific regarding what DVR's I could use. Now it's harder and harder to find TDK dvr's.. so eventually i would have to upgrade.

My main reason for eventually getting this flip is gonna be the simplicity of uploading it to ur computer and now even posting it directly to facebook. No conversion. just use the software disk that comes with it and done. Quality speaks for itself. Pretty damn clear. gr8 video, gr8er review.

is this camcorder good for high speed sports capture lets say skiing, i will be skiing next year and a half and i am planning to buy a recorder to capture the runs and the ski trip. it is below my budget so its excellent but will it record well if i run it when i am skiing?

@lobsta7 Also, I love having the unneeded 32 GB on my Playsport along with the 5MP still picture camera as well as the options to choose between different HD modes including 720p @ 30 FPS and 720p @ 60 FPS up to 1080p 30(or 60 can't remember..probably 30) FPS.

I also love the ability to be able to charge my camera up no matter where I am..and I love how I can charge it via USB or a standard outlet. Battery life is amazing.
