@sonicfan1996 thats not entirely true there are 3 possibilitys as to how she died: 1. the Goblin killed Gwen before he threw her off the bridge(she looked unconcious before he threw her so she could have already been dead), 2. the fall could have killed her, and 3.Her neck broke when Spider-Man caught her unintentionally killing her

But if you do a header down a bridge and your legs are caught, aka the opposite side of you (as in this case), your head has nowhere to go.

To use your example: a frontal crash in a car will force your head forwards, of course... and then most probably backwards as long as there's an air bag. :P

But in Gwen's case, she fell with her head facing downwards. Even the sudden stop wouldn't cause her head to get pulled backwards or forwards...
