Basel is one of the best cities! and the fasnacht is so wonderful. Wen you are in switzerland you must go to basel and wen you have luck then you are at the time wen is fasnacht. The ski/snowboard facilities are not too good. I thought something like 10km skislopes. That isnt a lot. A better option is Grindelwald with 220 km slopes. And that's in the same regio like beatenberg.

I'm lucky enough to have a family member in the military and live in Germany so I have been able to see Switzerland and I just have to say it is the most beautiful country I have ever seen. The waterfalls in the mountains, the snow, the trees it is truly magnificent! Your country is gorgeous!

Do it! I live in switzerland and I am snowboarding for at least two weaks per year but erverytime I see these majestic snowy mountains glowing red in the evening sun I still get goosebumps. I love to live here =)
