Two points to this tanker deal as it relates to McCain:

1) McCain was duped into the initial awarding of the contract to Boeing, yet acts as though he knew it was a bad deal all along.

2) Why should we believe that there were not questionable actions taken in the awarding of this contract to EADS/NG like that of the initial Boeing contract?

I personally think that the US government is just trying to make nice with the French and get them back on our side.
