honestly it depends on what ur gonna be doing. if your gonna be more on the scratching hip hop type of dj then its a good mixer. if your gonna be more into electronic mucic and doing long mixes i would look to pioneer, evry show ive ever played had pioneers. but when u get good it doesnt matter what mixer u got

Digital is the way to go... remember people, these tracks are made on computers... not recorded with analog equipment... there is really no reason to use vinyl anymore unless you have a large collection, you are well practiced in it, or you like to scratch... CD sounds great, and if you are using 24 bit AIFF in Traktor, for example, it can sound even better

bpm counters suck! they are not accurate they wounder up and down on any deck! and on my kp3 as well.

CD decks are just more conveniant as it is getting more and more expensive to produce vinyl and cut it!(WHY!?)also cd does not sound any where as good as vinyl and making the bit rate 24 does not always make it sound better, 16 bit can sound better.

This vid shows that you dont need to have cdj1000's to be good! Its the man behind the eqipment thats makes the difference.

I can agree that cdjs are fuckin awesome . I had a pair of cdj 1000s and an 800 at one point . the thing is when i got them i sold my 1210s and spun only cds for a year or so . After time you get to used to them . Now im back to a pair of beat up 1200s and a shit mixer but ultimately even if you own a pair of cdjs spinning records once in a while is always good . Cdjs are a luxury and are alot easier to use ill admit . For someone who started with records and switched to cdjs , thats fine as
