I can't claim much knowledge of classical music,I hear a piece,like it,see who composed it and nearly every time it's JS Bach,music of the gods! If reincarnation exists,who would he have been in the modern age,McCartney?
First: Hamaris performance here is impeccable - a clear and beautiful voice. Second: I guess, if you performed with Richter, you were very much in duty of the utmost concentration - Richter put his performers and Bach to perfection.
So clear and beautiful! Wow! :D

@MrWitchtrials
Comparing McCartney to Bach is insulting Bach.
I do like the Beatles, but compared to this... no, just no.

Die Sprache ist so unglaublich bildhaft, kurz und deutlich. "Das Sündenherz knirscht Buß und Reu entzwei"... In ihrem Klang unübersetzbare Worte.
Genauso wie "Der Geist hilft unsrer Schwachheit auf" aus den Motetten. Unübertrefflich.

Anyone has any idea when was this recorded?

Hehe, you have read my thought :) The flute player left is also quite suspicious...
But, speaking seriously, the whole performance is great.

The concentration in Hamari's eyes is almost scary.

I agree but ii don't really think Bach needs someone to put him to perfection :)

Quite right you are!
I meant: Richter put his performers and the performance of Bach to perfection.

@cocochanelleke is it concentration or maybe the way she acts?
