hello i was looking into buying one of these jets and i was just trying to make sure that the RTF version of this comes with the transmitter and the retracts workings. basically the erverything all i have to do is put it together. i just wanted to know if i had to use my own transmitter. and how the retract work since there are only 5 servos

@supercheesy107 A good plane for beginners is Hawk Sky powered glider. Buy at least one extra battery so you can be charging one battery while flying the other battery.

@londonjig There are lots of direction you can go with RC aircraft. There are gliders, helicopters, 3D, scale, pattern, EDF's, and racing to name just a few. Each RC activity requires its own skill set you can only get bored if you are not improving.

Awesome! The tanks and missiles is a huge advantage, considering it adds drag, with equals out to more stability! Really great, smooth, the only problem I see is the battery life, a bit short... but other than that, I want one! :0)

This New F-18 is A Super Hornet with the single Seat is it An F-18E and with the two Seat Canopy it is an F-18F and the blue angels do not have these. it is a nice looking plane though. it needs some other paint schemes. you can tell the difference by looking at the intakes. A Super hornet intakes are slanted like an F-14 and a legacy F-18 hornet like the blue angels intakes are round. Also super hornet horizontal stabs are cut at an the tips.

The plane you have is the F/A-18 SUPER HORNET which the Blue Angels do not use. Second the Blue Angels use both single and 2 seat versions jus the 2 seat verison is use mainly for rides and as a back up when one of the originals ones are downed due to maintance problems.

Nice looking model! Definitely needs to be flown with missiles and drop tanks off, though. Too much drag otherwise. Will be very interested in seeing the price.

Great looking plane! A little more power would be nice though. You seem to be a modest down to earth, type of guy compared to another reviewer that flies there, which makes the video nicer to watch. You dont give us the over the top sales pitch where everything is 'Awsome'!!! Very honest of you to show the dodgy landings and tip stall crash, where you could have edited it all out. Well done!

2.) Have them work to widen the main gear for increased stability. The scale effect is loss with the gear that close.

Excellent flying, Tony. Looks like you got a winner. The sooner nitroplanes stock this F-18 the sooner they get to make money off it.

High alpha looks really stable. Rudder would have provided more control though and likely help you avoid the crash. Looks like rudders are molded in, might as well include the servos and linkages on your stock version, one less thing for customers to do.

Can't wait to buy one!

That's a nice and detailed looking plane. I just love that you guys show the controller on the corner of the screen! Been waiting for someone to do that, and finally you guys have done it first xD! Anyway, here's an idea, you guys should use one of those "Go-Pro" camera's and mount it to the chest area of the person piloting the plane and have it face down toward the controller from a POV perspective. It'll give a better view of the controller so that the viewers can see the control inputs.

#7 is a 2 seater. But the Blue Angels don't use the Super Hornet. It's the "C" model. For models though I believe that the Super Hornet is a better airframe. My 50mm is awesome! I just wish I had room for the bigger one!

@jakuba8 All the RC planes Crash sooner or later, what is important is how easy its to fix them and how bad/well they take the damage. He could have edited the video and remove it, but they are confident with that :) People are complaining about nitroplanes, but look at the price you get what you pay for and I think most real RC fans like to upgrade their plans and work around them as much as flying them. I spend 90% of my RC time on the ground and 10% in the Air.
