Sorry, Jason Momoa is cool as heck, but a very poor choice for Conan. Robert Howard described the Cimmerians as dark-haired, hillmen; barbaric ancestors of the fallen lords of Atlantis. They inhabit the grim, moody, grey-skied hills from which all encroaching kingdoms have met with harsh-defeat. The Russian actor Alexander Nevsky (now breaking into American movies) would have been awesome! They should have grabbed him up! google the actor Alexander Nevsky for his pic! You will agree!!!
@gunship130 but dont forget Conan was described as bronze skin, and in the stories conan wasnt decribed as a body builder but as a a panther or lion, he wasnt anything close to a bodybuilder until he was almost king. this is younger conan and jason momoa is realistically built for what a fighter would be. and REH once stated Conan and his other character were physical doubles ( 6'2'' 210lbs) which is what jason momoa is.

@superbungabunga This isn't a remake of Conan the Barbarian: no Subotai, Mako, Mongol generals etc. It's a new story. Unfortunately instead of adapting one of Robert E. Howard's original stories, they've decided to make up a new one, alienating both REH and CtB fans.
Still, Momoa won't be the weak link. REH scholar Patrice Louinet has seen photos of Jason as Conan, and he was quite impressed. I guess makeup & working out does wonders.
