what the grand canyon is to chinese people,is what the great wall of china is to the american people.....an adventerous, newly excited and wonderous place to visit in the world.we visit each others lands in pure wonder and awe......funny really.
Thanks, good video. Hopi House was built in 1904, opened Jan 1, 1905, designed by Mary Colter to resemble the village of Old Oraibi on the Hopi reservation, the oldest continuously inhabited village in North America, about 900 years old. Also, the Canyon is 277 river miles long. Winter is amazing, almost no people, great southern light on North Rim. As a guide, I've learned that there are no bad times to visit. It's always grand, always different. I've seen snow as late as May 31 on South Rim.
Trying to talk the BF into adding this onto the last day of our Las Vegas Christmas vacation. Seems like a waste when all I have to do is extend our trip by one day to see the canyon, really want to go back there!
I hiked a 3 day trail a couple years ago. Now I am an amputee, & can't wait to go back & conquer it when I can walk again :) Honestly, such a beautiful, spiritual place. Amazing.
Thanks for sharing the gorgeous photography. We, in Yosemite National Park, are seeing the start of spring too. Check out our Yosemitevacations channel. Just click on our name below./
The information on this video has been very helpful. All important details have been covered. Thank you so much. We are planning to visit in the winter too. We are glad we planned it that way. Your video was encouraging too.
As an Arizona native, I would encourage people to visit the Canyon in the winter, as this video suggests. It's not only less crowded, but the light is better for photography and sightseeing. Great video, by the way. Thanks!
Awesome video. Great views, especially with the snow. My son and I were there last Thanksgiving (2009), and the temps were perfect for our hike down to Phantom Ranch, but we didn't see any snow (we saw some in December 2006, though). Good advise, too, especially about staying more than one day; I was "fogged out" one visit to the canyon on a day trip from Phoenix, and it was clear the day before and after. Thanks for posting this!
It is wonderful, interesting and very beautiful!
Thank you. Love & Peace

Don't hike the trails in the snow or you will fall on your ass.
Don't buy any tourist crap, too expensive or junk.
