wow ... want a spread of comments! I am part of this "cult" and was there for the live performance. Dustin ROCKED!! Been going to 12Stone since day 1, and Crossroads before for a year or so,PK preaches from the Bible and hits some touchy biblical subjects straight on. I have sat in the "pews" and been amazed that people came back from being smacked down the week before. This is the same for the college ministry (WE) ... God has made different strokes for different folks to get the message out.

Say what you will about 12 stone being a cult and blashpemous, and a concert venue and not a "House of God" (btw i didnt know I Am was in the reality market). The Angels are throwing a party for the 200 students who gave their lives to christ. And for the ppl who proclaimed to never step foot in a church and have now commited to follow him and change their lifestyle and their family life. so ya throw your stones.

The one thing good I can say about 12 Stone Church, after attending weekly for a year, is the music is fantastic. I stopped attending after the pastor ranted about the election back in October of 2008, it was very clear he was down on Obama, and he USED his leadership from the pulpit in a way I found distasteful. Also, his CONSTANT bragging about knowing various minor celebrities was really pathetic. The music kept me there for a year---they have many talented members!

We dont "need" it but its fun. And Powell we are suposed to hate the sin not the sinner. Nothing in this song talks about homosexuality, and i dont hear anything about satan in it there is nothing blasphemous in this song. 12 stone is a church for the unchurched, and have had over 2000 ppl accept Christ as there lord and savior. We have a moto at 12 stone and it is "Once your apart of the family, Its not about you."

12stone is an awesome place that brings u closer to God from the uplifting message to the way PK who is a true man of God shares how he too has not so christian moments and must confess to God he helps me know being a Christian isnt about being perfect its about following God and giving ur all to live 4 Him... I don't think conforming to world is an ideal example of what followers of Christ must do while opening up a service. @FAITHandLOGIC Why are you so mad? 12Stone church is a church for the un-churched. We welcome EVERYONE: non-believers, broken people, gays, etc. Why have a church that only "Christians" can attend? So what if we have these special songs/extras. Is it needed? No. Is it fun? Yes...for 3-5 minutes...we get entertained. The remaining hour and 15 minutes, we engage in worship and the pastor's preaching. Have you even attended a service before you start passing judgment?

All you're saying is that "come in, we're just like the world" when the actions of a Christian and praising of God should be enough. If that isn't good for the unbeliever, then let them go. @jouamua Church is not to entertain you, it is to bring glory to God. Church is for the believer, Not and again I say NOT for the none Christian. If people come into to a church and they become saved then Glory to God. I know the mind set of many (well most) of the 12-stoners. It is to just bring people to church hoping they get "saved" not sharing the good news of the Gospel. Also the Gospel they share is powerless in the extreme. They are missing the real meat of it all.

@Wbeard92 Seriously??!! I invite people because the messages always bring Glory to God. Think about it - many years ago, Handel's Messiah was considered sacrilegious. Never in a million years did I think I would grow as a Christian attending such a large contemporary church. I am so grateful God has put me in this place - He has rekindled my love for HIM through the worship and the messages. Every word that is sung or spoken during a service is bathed in prayer and to HIS Glory.

@ajrawson Um, Twelve stones teaching is sadly shallow. Of the things I have seen and heard it doesn't bring glory to God. Why? 1. They have no problem bring that which is sensual and profane into the church(Like when they played eminem). Then their "gospel" is both shallow and filled with a lot of half truths. Then in some sermons going to pop culture for all there examples not the bible. As well there is no unction in the preaching. It is nothing more then another seeker sensitive "church"

@ajrawson As well as playing "worship" music that is focused on the human aspect not on God. It points you to man and not to God, and therefore it is humanistic. Also you have all the theatrics that they put in to the singing. This isn't to bring glory to God, it is to entertain those in the audience and causes everyone to focus on those singing NOT on the Lord Jesus Christ. I would strongly encourage you to look for a church that truly lifts high the Name of Christ.

@ajrawson Also I know in this area it is hard. very hard. There are very few churches that do this in this area. If you are interested in finding another church though please send me a message. If I sounded harsh or proud please forgive me for that, but please prayerfully consider what I have said. (If you are interested in pastors that preach a solid message I would suggest: Paul Washer, Leonard Ravenhill, David Wilkerson, Eric Ludy, Nathan Johnson (who is nazarene) those are just a few).

@jouamua No, actually he more then like is doing what I am doing. Going through major churches that draw large crowds. To see whether people are coming because God is truly at work, or if they are doing nothing but drawing carnal (unsaved) people by carnal (fleshly) means. As well you also don't understand judging as outlined in the bible. Biblically you are to judge. Not by the flesh but by the word of God.

The 1 o'clock service was the smallest service...yet it was the only service we had the most crowd interaction with. Pretty awesome stuff.
