  • Obsessions have always been my strongest autistic trait.

  • It's good to see you on here again : )

  • Hey Willow. I mentioned a few ideas which I had which I said about before when you mentions things you wanted to do in life etc. I just wanted to also mention, how about part time modelling? Have you ever tried that? For maybe clothes stores like Debenhams or catalogues etc like Freemans or Next. You could do that very easily if you built a profile???

  • @topgun101tom No I've not tried it, it's not really my thing. I prefer to be on the other side of the camera =)

  • What I mean by explosions is the kind that destroy.

  • @Genin99 I just don't like how unsafe they are.

  • @WillowMarsden Would you say that I have a point with the fact that you associate fireworks with something exploding or you just hate seeing a lot of fire

  • @Genin99 Yes the explosiond, but because fireworks can destroy, not because they remind me of things that do destroy, I hate how dangerous they are...like if they went awry and exploded at ground level.

  • Your videos are great, I'm glad you have a facebook!

  • Part II. In addition, I have no learning impediments whatsoever. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but AUTISM is not a learning impediment. I understand alternative meanings, and CAN speak eloquently. Autism means turned into the SELF. Period. I even have physical scarring since very early childhood due to being both psychologically and physically turned INWARD.

  • @WillowMarsden

I RETRACT some of my previous statements. I finally SOLVED what I was trying to solve. I was trying to solve WHY I am severely autistic (formally diagnosed and as stated by experts), yet I exhibit absolutely NO learning problems whatsoever. I do NOT exhibit any impediments at all, just PURE AUTISM.

Someone with PURE AUTISM would result in the answer to WHAT is the cause of AUTISM. The answer is very simple. Solved it finally. All the other stuff just CONFUSES what is AUTISM.

  • Part I. I cannot see how what I have, AUTISM, is related at all to Asperger's Syndrome. One woman said she has a Ph.D. and on public committees and has AUTISM. Rhetoric. I am a profound genius, but I would NEVER be able to get a Ph.D. because I would NEVER be able to sustain an OUTWARDNESS long enough. I do NOT need any ALONE time at all - I am simply ALONE because of the way I AM, and I HATE being alone. "Well, you're SEVERELY autistic." Rhetoric. I AM autistic. Period.

  • Could your problem with fireworks be that you associate fireworks with explosions.

  • It's the same thing with obsessions for me. I can get really obsessed for something for a certain time. Days, weeks, months or even years. And then suddenly, it snaps out and I start obsessing with something else. And it's the same with music too. I can listen to the same few songs or albums for months every day, and then suddenly I change the music style altogether.

As long it doesn't interfere with my professional obsession, it would be fine, but it does :(

  • @SeltsamerAttraktor I've not been listening to my favourite music lately, but when I used to, I could listen to the same album for a long time and not get bored.

  • Repeatedly repeating your words is called palilalia.

  • @theedgeofoblivious Interesting, I never knew - thanks. :)

  • I'm also one of those people that like online games. I play City of Heroes and DC Universe online. I think the appeal these games have to people like us is that we get to escape from reality and we get to control whats going on.

  • @Genin99 I think that's one reason, yes. But I think that being able to interact with other people, through something that we both like, is another plus.

  • @WillowMarsden oh yes that too

  • I do that thing where i getobsessedover something for a day /week/month/year.. but then suddenly drop it totaly. I cant do something just a little.. ither i really go into it. learn all about it . really super focus on it. Or I dont do it at all. Been that way always. Not practical at all. But fun to have alot of random knowedge from all my superfocus things. Everything from computers . too saab cars to tv shows and what not. At the moment its japanese. wich is fun and cool i think.

  • Stuttering is related to anxiety, just like you and everyone with aspergers I have anxiety problems too and I find it hard to figure out what I'm going to say when I'm anxious but I never stuttered.

  • You're lucky you weren't very sick as a when you were younger. I have along history of ear problems and I went to the hospital a lot because of my bad ears. My ears had a lot of surgeries too.
