  • Moneen sucked at accidents

  • Moneen gets the credit for the song, but I gotta say Alexis killed it :D

  • haha george at 7:27

  • 420 likes the way it should be :)

  • oh my god, i just saw this album in my pile of cds and i had to watch this again for the first time in 5 years. i do like the original better though.

  • Yes Alexis would be nothing without dallas. but it would also be nothing without george or wade, george has a signature singing style and a voice that is what defines alexis, and wade provides harmonies that fits between george and dallas to make alexis what it was , wtch was amazing.

  • am i the only one that loves their version of accidents? AOF's version is awesome but i like this one a bit better

  • @hiimcrush No, I love Moneen's cover. It took me a while, but I've grown to like this one more.

  • AOF made that song so much better !!!

  • @JG129 wrong way wrong

  • dallas is a knob

  • moneens version of accidents is pure shit.

  • @fozzifoster26 i enjoyed it... its no AOF but still a good listen imho

  • @AnarchyRuLeZ88 Dallas played the Royal Albert Hall in London with City & Colour - that's huge, hardly a failure. He was a vital part of AoF's sound too, but it was actually his solo success that set their split in motion. Sad day.

  • Love both of them, specially Moneen on this track, think they did an awesome cover

  • this is the second most funny music video(s) ive seen.

  • @AnarchyRuLeZ88 Are you dumb? It hasn't failed. Its the best thing thats ever happened.

  • <3

  • Could the audio be ANY fucking worse?

  • anyone else like moneens cover of sharks and danger though?

  • Haha I love it when George comes in

  • Every band member in the band is amazing and equally important. Their EP Dog's Blood doesn't have as much Dallas as OC/YC, but it's still amazing.

Btw, Jordan Hastings is an EPIC drummer

  • Nah, Dallas is great I love him, but as a band they wouldn't be anywhere without each of them. George's vocals are amazing, plus his energy on stage, jordan hastings has to be one of the best drummers ever, wade's backing vocals are amazing and his guitar playing, and don't get me started on chris fucking steele! He is the sickest man alive! I love!

  • you guys cant really say dallas holds them together, we dont know what happens behind the scenes of alexisonfire, he has a good voice yeah but every memeber of the band is amazing, does no one aknowledge the drummer?

  • My Favourite Set of videos ever.

  • screaming can be very tasteful and i think they proved it in "Watch Out!" and even moreso in "Crisis"

however im not a fan of young cardinals *at all* to me it was way too much of the harsh vocals and not enough well-rounded melody like in Crisis

  • And now alexisonfire sucks. Looks like the screaming was more important than previously thought.

  • HAHAHAHA

    my fav is steele!!

  • Is this really taken in one single shot?

  • @idiockubaa yeah, it is really impressive

  • Dallas' voice is amazing but the band really brings it all together

  • @pengudaman yeah cancer bats has played here a few times. definetly do sick shows :) alexis has played here and so has protest the hero if u know who they are.

  • this is the most foolish video ive ever seen lol <3 i love those boys. yes dallas green is definetly a big part of aof. i love George's screaming contrast though. wade is bomb too <3 check out his side band black lungs. it really shows off his vocals.

  • @732caseybutler Black lungs came here to Peterborough, one of the best out of town shows to come here. BUT Cancer Bats were here last night. SO FUCKING INSANE.

  • This is actually an awesome music video and collab

  • yeah, moneen!

  • i fuckk hate moneen you know, they're good song writers but can't playy for shit :/

  • i fuckk hate moneen you know, they're good song writer but can't playy for shit :/

  • of these two songs. i like moneens cover of accidents more...but doing their own things, i like aof more

  • alexisonfire rocks

  • Dallas greeen is amazing. He is a huge part of AOF but Wade Mac Neil also has a good voice and plays good ass guitar but yes Dallas makes AOF

  • Wade has a greatt voice too

  • best video on youtube

  • that is one of weirdest but most epic things i've ever seen.

  • Wow! whoever came up with the idea for this video is a genius! it is executed brilliantly and also compliments the songs very well!

  • Wow! I Love this. I Love every thing about it. It was a great concept and well carried out. (It's not the samo-samo, for which I am exceedingly grateful.)

  • I've always loved AOF a bit more, and I really never knew about moneen until the EP came out (but I do like them), but I try not to be bias when I say AOF did a better job of covering moneen than Moneen covering AOF, Accidents just seems like a song that shouldn't be slowed down

  • @HarrTheKiller plus AOF is a lot more musically talented IMO

  • I met moneen last night in Leeds, and they have massive respect for AOF. There is a new ep coming out wiht some of the members of both bands in there; this shows how each song can be adapted. The whole point of using each others songs was to put a different spin on them. I think they are both awesome

  • i like moneen much more than alexisonfire. with that said, both bands did a great job. the concept of doing two videos at the same time is amazing.

  • Alexisonfire won. Simple. Moneen didn't put nearly as much effort into their covers, Alexisonfire made them sound like their own. Fuck I love them

  • @HaroldFeldberg and no, I think the best song in the album was sharks in danger but maybe thats because AOF write better lyrics

  • @AsianAbuser

    I couldn't listen to it.

The original Sharks In Danger is such a beautifully written piece of music (lyrics as well) and Moneen just....murdered it.

The two bands can't compare, Alexisonfire just wins. Pure and simple.

  • two of canada's best :D

  • or they r both amazing?

  • Must Say Moneen Did Put A Different Spin On Accidents. It's Amazing, And I Love The Lyrics In Passing Of America

  • AOF would be nothing without Dallas, his voice is the backbone of the band. Pretty sure they wouldn't be as big without him either. Anybody with me? lol ps I'm not criticizing i own every CD of theirs.

  • @RebelliousState I agree somewhat. He has made the band bigger but also more mainstream. Many ppl listen to AOF that usually dont listen to screaming bands. But also less Dallas would appeal to others

  • ah well, can't always satisfy evvverybody... but even with that said, I think they're doing a brilliant job with what they're doing now. Wooooooot AOF!

  • @RebelliousState I would have to disagree with you there. Dallas is definitely awesome - I also have his solo Albums, but a band is exactly that - a Band. AOF work very well together, and their second singer (forget his name) has one of the best screamo voices ever imo. Their guitarists are all brilliant.

  • @RebelliousState

AOF would be nothing without George, his voice is the backbone of the band. Pretty sure they wouldn't be as big without him either.

  • @RebelliousState nah i disagree, although dallas is a big part of the band, I'd still be fan if he wasn't there eg george does all vocals

  • @RebelliousState it makes it more appealing to those who don't really like screamo, it milds some of their songs =) but the difference between george's, dallas' and wade's voice turns it into what it is...besides that chris steele is great on bass ;) this band is great as long as one, u can' t really give all the credit to just one of 'em =)

  • @MJSalmy Its post-hardcore. scremo isnt a name of a genere. If one of the members of AOF leaves, the bands not going to be right.

  • @mtbmikex9 I know it is =) I didn't refer to their style but to George's singing as screamo, or how would you call it? And even though I used the wrong words, what I meant is that they're great as a band, the combination of all those styles is what makes them so great. =) read more careful next time ;)

  • @MJSalmy you killed this troll with smilies. see that? thats troll blood flowing like a river.

  • @mtbmikex9 how is that possible after you flamed into ash with your comments? =)

  • @MJSalmy I had a skin graph. =P

  • @RebelliousState i'd agree but alexisonfire is good as a whole and the chubby guy's vocals are damn good to i think...

  • @RebelliousState fuck you faggot! just because the lead singer has a amazing voice and from that started side projects and what not AOF would still be big even if they had someone else from the start, its not all about the lead singer like in mainstream faggot bands its about the group effort, they come up with these songs together and from that we have a amazing band. so dont be saying bullshit about aof being nothing just so you can get thumbs up you tool!

  • @CHA5ERFACE set em straight

  • @RebelliousState That is the most bullShit fact ever. Dallas green sucks and He makes the band all baby shit. Alexisonfire's first cd was the best cd and even They're Demo kills they're First LP

  • @RebelliousState

actually if you listen to their early shit, dallas barely sang

  • @RebelliousState the first two records were a perfect balance of gorge and dallas. not one person makes a band, its all of them. ever since crisis its been dallasisonfire.

  • @peuptypants what about wade? have you noticed all 3 of them are singing together in old crows/young cardinals and it sounds like a fuckin tri-fecta of awesome.

  • @RebelliousState yeah sadly you might be right, but for me every single member is fuckin perfect. i guess the drummer was replaceable tho.. lol

  • @RebelliousState I like AoF a lot more than City and Color though personally, CaC's good too though of course

  • @RebelliousState

i think george petit and wade could do a good job on their own, but i agree, dallas is like the glue that holds it all together

  • @RebelliousState Well listen to Drunk lovers, sinners and saints. Hardly any Dallas and yet that song is funking amazing!

  • @RebelliousState yet I like alexisonfire a lot more than city and color.

  • @RebelliousState each guy is needed as much as Dallas too though. Dallas has the melody, George the aggression, Chris the stage presence, Wade the middle-ground between Dallas and George, and Jordan for tying it all together and having the intricacy

  • @RebelliousState

Alexisonfire came first, then Dallas green became popular because of his work in Alexisonfire not the other way around.

  • @RebelliousState

little harsh. they are all talented musicians. regardless, dallas' voice is needed. only because we know its there. without it and just having wades and georges would do well also, but we dont know the band without dallas, and never will.

  • @RebelliousState you were right :'(( fuck im going to miss them

  • @RebelliousState yea... that's why they split a month ago...

  • i think both bands are very imprssive and thy should do their stuff like they want

  • alexisonfire makes moneen songs better! i love moneen but their nothing in comparison i saw them last nite! no comparison but thats why alexis is the biggest band in canada and moneen isnt

  • I think that both bands compliment each other, I've seen both of them live Alexisonfire twice and it's pretty tough to compare them, one of the most energetic concerts I ever saw was when Moneen opened for Alexisonfire in Hamilton and both bands were stellar to say the least. I actually really enjoy the Moneen cover of accidents and I enjoy the Alexisonfire cover of Tonight I'm Gone. But both originals are better. They are a different band with different talents one isn't superior to the other.

  • Your entitled to your opinion.

  • why do people thumb-down this if its true?

  • does anyone else think that dallas has the most amazing voice ever?

  • yes

  • I do !

  • @pagkennedyyy Of course Dallas does. Shit, this guys an inspiration. I'm even naming my kid after him.

  • The whole EP is ace, just because it's such different takes on the original tunes. Plus Charlie Sheen Vs Henry Rollins is one of the best alexis tunes ever lol

Anyone know if these videos were both done in one take on two cameras? I get the distinct feeling they were... mad choreography!

  • i think alexisonfire could do a cover of any song and make it better then the actual song

  • Twelvehaha is wrong.

    Tracklist for Switcheroo Series was:

    1. Alexisonfire - Passing out in America (Cover of Moneen's Passing of America)

    2. Moneen - Accidents are on Purpose (Cover of Alexisonfire's Accidents)

    3. Alexisonfire - Tonight I'm Going To Wash The Hippie (Cover of Moneen's Tonight, I'm Gone...)

    4. Moneen - Sharks In Danger (Cover of Alexisonfire's Sharks And Danger)

    5. Alexisonfire - Charlie Sheen VS Henry Rollins (Original track)

    6. Moneen - Blister and Bleed (Original Track)

  • *Bleed and Blister.

    :)

  • Moneen's version of Accident's = Cringe. The dancing nurses were good though

  • ya, sharks in danger was better

  • No.

  • How come I haven't seen this yet?

  • lol steel at the end!!!!

  • oh how i love georges voice!

  • alexisonfire is better by far

  • alexis did a better job but moneens iight

  • whoa moneen sucks ass, go alexisonfire

  • rayven let's not trash bands here, especially since I like moneen's cover of "accidents" better than alexisonfire's cover of "passing."

although both of them are pretty fucking good.

  • last time i checked the guys in moneen and the guys in aof were good friends ;f

i'm aware i'm replying to a really old comment

  • i dont understand what they mean bye moneen's passing of america and alexisonfire's accidents..

  • nevermind, i'm an idiot..

i didnt listen to the whole thing when i asked that..

  • alexisonfire and moneen did a split album where moneen played 6 alexisonfire songs and alexisonfire played 6 moneen songs.

this song is orignally by moneen.

  • your wrong. Alexisonfire played 2 moneen songs, Moneen played 2 Alexisonfire songs and then they each had an original.

  • thanks. ordered it on amazon for under ten bucks.

  • anyone know if you can find these songs in cd form?

  • alexisonfire - the switcheroo series

not sure what the moneen one is called

    sozz

  • Actually it's:

The Switcheroo Series: Alexisonfire vs. Moneen

  • lmao george

    7:30 :P

  • That must have been one hell of a video shoot. It's all one huge long shot. If anyone fucks up, start again!

  • Lol at 7:30

  • Agreed, George is amazing.

  • that was fantastic, is that from that swithcheroo album thing?

  • yeah

  • moneen is generally a bit more prog-y and spacey than alexisonfire so that's what their cover is like.

  • no, actually is isn't.

  • Yeh it is, on the Switcheroo, they renamed the songs that they covered slightly. Have to admit it's thanks to this I got into Moneen, their cover of Accidents is class!

  • haha, noob

  • actually the original is called 'passing of' but the alexis cover is 'passing out in' and the moneen cover of 'accidents' is called 'accidents are on purpose'

  • no way. i totally didnt know that >.>

  • yea all the covers are named differently on that ep

the alexis version of 'tonight i'm gone' is called 'tonight i wash the hippy' and the moneen version of 'sharks and danger' is called 'sharks in danger' or somthing real similar

  • Both bands are fuxing awesome!

  • both bands are awesome but moneen can't handle dallas' voice... he's just unbelievable

  • both songs are totally awsome, im definetly gonna get this EP if i can find it next time im out of town (we dont have anywhere to buy cds)

  • That film clip is so awesome,

Both bands wore the outfits that fitted each song.

    haha so good.

  • i think they should do a song together not just covers of each other it would be like best song ever?

  • love both versions!!

  • AOF owns

  • Worth to take a look :)

  • if you type in moneen on I tunes it says there and emo band, i dont really know i f i beleive that though....

  • its because moneen is lighter then alexisonfire

  • yea moneen's beginning sounds nothing like accidents... it is different, but i still like it

  • i think alexisonfire and moneen started this whoel switcheroo thingy after they met up at the trama tour

    IN MY AWESOME HOMETOWN SYLVAN!

  • wait so in the backround is the other music video taking place

    and i love both covers

  • i like both. Both are real good

  • moneen is just terrible in comparison.

  • fucking amazing video for both songs. How each are recorded at the same time and intertwine.

Simply amazing. Not sure about the first half of moneens cover though, but alexis' version of Passing of america is unreal.

  • Wow, the Moneen Cover is absolutely terrible

  • True

  • Moneens version of Accidents is good as hell. You can hear the guitars doing things you couldnt hear on the Alexisonfire album.

  • Well that was just f**king amazing!!!

  • I love Steele...

  • lol @ 2:17

  • those are some of the most chilling songs ever.

  • wow,

this song sounds amazing with george and dallas, its just plane amazing

  • not sure what to make of it to be honest, interesting concept but i dont think moneen can pull it off.......sorry

  • i lovee the alexis version of this song way better

  • the moneen version sounds almost live quality, or they are just mono-tone.

  • I honestly like the moneen version better

  • ..true dat. lol

i like the alexisonfire version too though.

  • love these bands..

    ALEXISONFIRE AT READING FESTIVAL

    woooo :D

  • me too what a great concept for a video as well eh ?

  • And Leeds :D XD

  • I didn't care for the AOF cover and Moneen made Accidents unlistenable for me.

  • For my new groups are

  • It's from an EP released in 2005 called 'The Switcheroo Series' and it has Alexisonfire playing three Moneen songs, entitled 'Passing Out In America', 'Charlie Sheen vs Henry Rollins' and 'Tonight I Am Going To Wash The Hippy'. The three Moneen songs are entitled 'Accidents Are On Purpose', 'Sharks In Danger' and 'Bleed and Blister (Version 2)'

A pretty good disc all round really.

  • Moneen and Alexisonfire together? : | My life improves xd

  • Its a old Split Cd

  • Lol AWESOME videos. Loved them both.

  • these are some sick vids, they were filmed both at the same time, and to get the charactures (excuse the spelling) to move in sync between the two sets is pritty impressive! and bot the bands are amazing!

  • this is awesome

  • i just love both these bands and both these songs simple as (y)

  • I love both versions. When you cover someones song the point is to put your own twist on it. alexisonfire screams "The passing of america" when the original doesn't have a lot of screaming the way they're doing it so moneen singing there song is fine.
