The fact that the republicans don't have the house, the senate, or the executive branch, and still have so much fucking control is disgusting. The finance committee dems. who voted against the health care public option have all bee tied to the insurance companies via staff members, close lobby ties, and if I'm not mistaken, some of the house staff members from these dems. had even worked as insurance company lobbyists.

There are a few things wrong with this guy. One - he thinks the Insurance Companies will follow through. Everyone and their mother knows they won't. Plain and simple - somehow the Senate 'won't be aware of their spending' or they'll weasel their way out of it.

As stated here in brief, and possibly also in full, this amendment is batshit fucking insane (sorry Al). We'll see the same trick from the insurers that was poineered by the bailed-out banks. An accounting trick involving different "pockets."

90% of the gov't money WILL be spent on health care. But a lot of it will be spent on care for patients with coverage. The increased profits and salaries will come from the money paid by covered patients that is no longer needed for care.
