every Martial art in the world is great, it depends on how good you're at it. im really good on random sports, tae kwon do, jeet kune do, muay thai etc... but often when i fight, i use my muay thai experience.. :)

I am the rank before first dan (in my federation it is called black stripe) and its depressing knowing that I will never be that good unless I train in Korea.
of course a lot of these demonstration moves arnt very useful for streetfights but all the stuff u learn before u learn these kicks and moves is quite useful for the street and u shouldnt forget that u repeat this stuff so often that it becomes a reflex so its just rubbish if u say ohh nice but tkd isnt useful for "real" fighting.

I've never been the biggest fan of TKD because I feel it's not always very practical, but it certainly does have some very powerful and impressive moves and kicks.

TKD is based on footwork, you dont score points with punches, in training its about 80% feet, 20% punches, while karate is opposite
