  • Cris Freaking Goss!!

  • Esto es arte!

  • The guy with the cig in his mouth is a true rock dude!!

  • OMG, this is great! Their first album was epic!

  • This is how music should be made

  • col kurtz wails a tune

  • This shit is brilliant. The first record is awesome beginning to end.

  • Most awesome!!!!!

  • is that mark lanegan jamming the hell out of that guitar??

  • what a fucking onslaught..

  • I'm still partial to the album version with Harrington's awesome wah-pedal solo...

Too bad he and Goss never saw eye-to-eye after the first album... the original lineup was their best incarnation... but I'm biased... I used sneak into the local club in Syracuse when I was highschool to watch these guys shred live well before they got signed and the first album came out... I remember they opened for the Smithereens and blew them off the freaking stage...

  • @bartidge Must have been something to see

  • What a fucking amazingly brilliant and powerful song

  • LOVE THESE GUYS. Listen to the first album all the time.

  • FUCK YEAH!! Bring our rock back.

  • Sweet

  • Shit happens.. on of the best bands of this world... i loved this combo..

  • Uncle Fester on lead guitar

  • mr. goss chose an apt name for his band

  • crowley put to rock music.

  • Awesome! I just wish there were backing vocals on the "OOOOH OH ooooh oooooh" part like Josh Homme's on Flak 'n Flight. Sounds hollow without 'em. Although I really enjoy the bass guitar in this performance so it's a toss up for me.

  • @JTEXTREME The 'How High The Moon' version is better than both this & the Flak N Flight version

  • does anybody know this lineup?

  • Wow! Loved it! Everytime I watch this I keep a close eye on that dude with the SG. Is he having fun or what? He looks like a fan who knew the song, got up on the stage and jammed with the band! Incredible! It's good to see musicians smile when they play...

  • Masters Of Reality is massively underrated band. They influenced so many modern groups it's not even funny.

  • pure fucken awesomeness

  • rabbits. the transition in this song is incredible. It's been a sad time. so many copies after this. when I first heard this song, I winced - thinking of another song that gave me the heebie jeebies: Safe European Home. Put that in your pipe.

  • The first MOR album is a masterpiece.

  • @FromBeyond99 it is. damn these guys deserve better. or maybe this is all they want. either way, kudos to googes rugrat for throwin out some stuff recorded before the first album came out.

i still want to see the little hidden track from the first album put up on the tube. its a little ditty on guitar and banjo. the tune is when the saints go marching in, but all mastered up. it is NOT 'the anchor" and it DOES exist.

  • I am glad to know that I am not the only black dude who loves stoner rock (check the bassist)

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre You guys exist?! Oh thank god! :D ;)

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre

But you ARE the only black dude to write THIS...

    "PLEASE HELP!"

"CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME HOW I CAN MAKE CHORDS"

    BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    You useless douche.

  • love these guys...one of the "lucky" cd purchases back in the day --- plenty of not so great ones...was sure these guys (Goss) were going to be superstars...oh well...the music is great either way

  • The best debut album of all time, no mistake.

Domino has the best intro I have ever heard and the Blue Garden is just genius

  • @foleystephen abso-fucking-lutely! no offense to zeppelin, cream, sabbath (!) or anyone else, but the first one is so damn good it makes my teeth hurt. i found their first album by mistake at a goodwill store (nice irony) it was a hand labeled cassette case thta said master of reality. i was pissed for about 10 seconds. then i felt like i had been given a gift. wore it out in about a month. 2 years went by before i found another, and it was sunrise. this was pre internet.

  • @edslides thats funny... thats exactly how i came apon them. except it was i box of cassettes next to the register at some convenience store, i thought the cover art looked cool and its was $4. one of the best $4 purchases i ever made.

  • wha about the bass player an the drummer? i should just do some research but its easier 2 ask people on here

  • Amazing. Goss can write hits like nobody else.

  • gotta love those sweet bass fills !

  • Goss is one of the greatest. Nuff said!!!!!!!!

  • epic

    nuff said

  • Awesome!!! But who is that other guitarist? That dude was having a lot of fun!! He is always smiling and jamin! That's the way I would look if I were up there having fun. Anyone know who he is?

  • I really wanna know who is he too....

  • @christiscomingselah It's Brendon McNichol.

  • @Mistermookey ahh the wanker who can't play qotsa songs for shit

  • Comment removed

  • @fuckamericanidiot ha ha, yeah he's about as cool as a kick in the nuts

  • @droctagon3k i wear dark glasses in the daytime....don't care!

  • Sounds like sonic youths tatainium expose

  • now that you mention it bro ! the intro reminds me also a bit to my favorite Goo song

  • that bass....just listen!

  • Better than the Album version!!! Chris Goss!!!!

  • Freaking wicked!!!!!!!!!!

  • this video gives me goosebumps every time..

    guitars like guns,shooting heads away..

  • This is even better than the album version, and one of my favorite live music videos. Thanks so much for posting it.

  • I LOVVVVVEEE THEM!!!! They truly ARE THE masters!!!!!! :D

  • Seen em with ginger. Rawk!!!

  • get 'How High The Moon'. it's much better than 'Flak N Flight'

  • holey shit uncle fester ROCKS

  • when the riff starts its like the clouds parting

when goss starts the vocals its like god's hand decending down to show that honest to god rock and roll is still very electrfying and still can be done right.

  • Pure rock .

    That is all.

  • this is serious music man...

  • Just checked Amazon. It's $20

  • that riff starts and the "bad-as-fuck" vide just permiates from the whole band, this moment is an example fantastic playing/song writing is.

    godamn.

  • pwoah, got to love those bass lines

  • Amen to that !

  • omg, is that uncle fester playing guitar?

  • 8/24/09... new album! Goss better not be messing with us about that! lol! I can't wait!!!

  • who's the other guitarist?

  • The opening riff is fuckin amazing! Am I listening to the wrong song, or does the studio version not have that kick-ass riff in it? And if so, WHY?

  • Studio version definitely does not have it. I like both versions though. This version is way harder and intense but the studio version is more dynamic

  • The best version was on 'How High The Moon'

  • I only have it because there is internet. Don't have a copy of it. I also don't think it's still in print same as the debutrecord from qotsa that's only available on ebay for like $100 or more.

  • Looks like Goss is playing with a toy guitar times coz his head is so massive.

Also does the other guitarist have a toop lip you can always see his entire row of top teeth.

  • such an interressting comment....

  • The dude is one huge slab of rock.

  • Brutal, Dense, Animal

  • buy flak n flight and get the headphones on

  • definatly!

one of the best live albums ever

  • Chris looks like Uncle Fester in this.

    Still rocks though :D

  • These guys rock. Yeah.

  • stumbled on them when i was lookin up ginger baker can u guys give me some recommendations with these guys?

  • stoner rock is amazing. Josh Homme and chris goos are gods in music

  • The guitarmanship, especially at the end, is BRILLIANT. Goss is a legend.

  • stoners have the best rock

  • Lol at 3:43

  • Desert rock is the freakin shit.

  • this is tits

  • I love this song

  • fucking great singing. badass song all around

  • stoner rocks superior! LOVE IT!

  • GAWD I love MOR! Goss is God!

  • I really like this and the version off 'How High The Moon (Live At The Viper Room).' Chris Goss is definitely the god-father of desert rock

  • no, Mario Lalli is

Chris Goss plays Texas Blues Rock

  • Treez is correctamundo

  • I prefer the live version of this song so much

  • It is so good I cannot say anything. This performance and song speaks for itself. Chris Goss is BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • and on rhythm guitar/lead vocals....UNCLE FESTER...!!!

  • LOL

  • never

  • Goss is a big fat bad ass! If he had tits I'd do him, oh wait....

Seriously, one of the best bands ever with a live show that just burned heaven to the ground. Knowing Chris is still kicking it as heavy heavy as ever just made my day.

One question: what's with the other guitar player? looks like it's his first time on a big stage and he's grinning at his gramma through the whole thing.

  • what??? he's just enjoying himself.. :D do you think that's strange??

  • he's doing that because playing with Chris Goss is awesome

  • pinche bola de malandrines tocan bien chingon... sobre todo ese gordo maniático llamado Sr. Goss

  • Masters Of Reality will playing on Rock am Ring 2008 - I BE THERE!!!

  • with ginger baker on drums?

  • Why has embedding been disabled??? I've been impressing new fans with this music by posting this video everywhere, what gives?

  • youtube glitch, every so often youtube mysteriously resets our videos to this and we change it to enabled... will do thx for the heads up.
