Every thing changed but the men's attitude towards to women never changed.Most of the men like to relax their off day by watching TV or do some other thing than helping wife to catchup home work in this modern competing life style.
It time to serve the ball instead of throwing in to women's court.
Just list down how much work women has to do in first 3 hours in the morning.Do you really give hand and share these work lot??Make things worse ,Modern Sri Lankan women has to go to work .Long time ago women had more time than now.Those days kids never leave home to school this early. and they go the nearest school around.Women always at home.Our life styles been changed but WE "men" Like the old traditional culture in our home to be maintained.Most of the Sri Lankan men like that.
I agree with everything here.But end of the day ,the man responsible for this issue.Most the men do not care about house hold matters.They take granted women to bare House matters and kids matter.All they do is go to work or what ever it is ,and make money.They think that is the one and only responsibility they have.

Sri lankan men use to wear sarongs when they are at home, (and not cover the top part of the body at home), which makes easier for them to bear the heat & humidity. Housecoat is a comfortable clothing for women, not like frocks or the traditional saree. It is more convenient when working in the kitchen or taking care of kids. Western women spend too much time doing things to make themselves pretty, but there is no evidence at all to show that it stops men going after other women.
