You know I'm noticing that this first episode has a lot of odd close ups of the characters that you don't really see again in the series. It's interesting to notice these things!
You know, for YEARS I swore this could only be something I imagined existing. Way too surreal and...well...(Hatter/Hare that's all I'm sayin'.) But here it is, and the memories come flooding back. and I don't want to live in a world were this doesn't exist.
@rubinoos1: 80's Disney, around the same time as Dumbo's Circus & Welcome to Pooh Corner.
"You don't have to do homework assignments that are totally impossible...yell...they're impossible for me. I'm suppose to write a story about an interesting thing."
Ever think about writing about the wacky world beyond your Looking Glass mirror, Alice? XD
I remember the network ads for this show showing her wearing tights, but I never saw that particular episode. Was that the actual pilot that was later dropped?
No, this is a series called "Adventures in Wonderland" that was created in the early '90s. It is based on the characters from the "Alice in Wonderland" books. I hope this helps.
I'm glad that they blue on the Hare in later episodes (can't remember at the moment if it was a blue shirt or a blue vest), but it did improve his outfit.
I suppose Hatter and Hare enjoyed grocery shopping once they discovered that they could fit in the baskets.
Oh my gosh, I used to watch this all the time as a little girl! It was my favorite show. I would always be trying to step through the mirror at home, hoping to get to Wonderland.
You know, the Hatter and the Hare actually act like the Hatter and the Hare from the Disney Movie!! Silly and rhyming in their songs and...hey, their songs sound like the songs from the Disney Movie too. The White Rabbit even acts like the one from the Disney Movie!! this rocks!!
isn't there an episode where Alice is stuck in the mirror or something like that? I seem to remember something about that. What's that episode called? Do you have that one Melpierson?
I don't remember that one Rugratsfan. I also didn't see it in the old disney channel's episode guide. I posted a copy on the wikipedia entry for adventures in wonderland so you can check yourself and see if it matches a particular episode.
Hey rugratsfan, what your describing sounds like an episode from the 1990s tv show Are You Afraid of the Dark? There was an episode where a girl went through a mirror and couldn't get out. Hope that helps!
@Rugratsfan That was a completely different series. The scene your talking of was Alice Through The Looking Glass, I remember someone made a TV series of it and Alice in Wonderland in the 80s, but I'm not sure who. But I know it wasn't Disney, because that Alice was wearing a yellow dress rather then a blue one. Just look up 'Alice In Wonderland Jabberwocky' and it should be the second one.
I have been looking for this particular series for years. Thank you.
