Yeah, characters aren't the coolest in SC, but nothing beats 2D Beat 'em up characters in terms of style and coolness. King of Fighters is a good example.
I need some help, I'm gonna be getting a new fighting game for my ps3 soon and I'm not sure which one to get. I'm leaning towards this game but does anyone else have some suggestions for me?
Hi, yeah there's also Virtua Fighter 5 which is worth to get. But there's a huge difference between VF5 and SC4, Virtua Fighter is friggin' difficult and deep. Soul Calibur is easier but pretty deep, too (and it has weapons!). I personally like SC4 more.
they should have big stages that interact with the fight like a trap or areas were u have to fight and run or get killed and what be really cool is 6 vs 6 war
I don't think that's really necessary. It would get a mature rating and everyone, who's not 17 (you gotta be even 18 in my country) wouldn't get to play this incredible game (ok, I'm sure they would get it somehow but yeah, I think you get it...). We don't need a second Mortal Kombat. But I know what you mean, there were some parts where I thought "Dang, I'm sure this would look awesome with a little gore in it".

-I have to disagree with that, it's just that one of the thing that made MK really famous/fun were those bloodly fatalities, so every game with those "finishing moves" would look like a copy of MK, I think it adds a new, original and refreshing gameplay and the fact that makes you think your strategy better, in SC3 was annoying when you fighted and all the opponent was guard-

From Memory of a video I watched and the stuff I've read, there is Training, Character Creation, Vs Mode, Online Play, Story, Soulless Tower Mode, and I think that's it.
Oh, and character creation goes for both custom characters and standard character costume editing. ^_^
too bad their aint a wii version...imagine swinging a wii remote as a sword in soul calibur....lol that would be sweet...but the graphics would ruin the game.

For a game with lots of blades I don't see any blood from the cuts. Maybe they will finally add blood in SC5.
