    does the order of the parenthesis matter,

    is

    4(x-1)(x-5) the same as

    4(x-5)(x-1)

    answer highly appreciated!

    No the order does not matter because multiplication can be done in any order.

    Imagine 4 (5)(6) = 20(6) = 120

    Then... 4 (6)(5) = 24(5)=120

    If you are ever unsure, just pick random numbers to make yourself confident!
