You could start out playing piano, connect it to your computer and play some sounds using a software like Ableton Live or Logic and evovle from there. That's what I did!

You don't neccesarily need a lot of fancy equipment, because you might be a composition genius, who knows? Remember that creativity of mind can't be programmed by a computer.
