hey man i had a question.. i have a tremonti sig and a mccarty II but i was thinking about getting the SE tremonti also and putting the tremonti pickups in it.. is there much sound difference between the american tremonti and the SE when you put the real pickups in it?

@deathdefyingleap there is a difference in tone. mainly in the "thickness" of the tone. the Usa model sound thicker and darker, and also has more sustain. The SE with Tremonti pickups has the same tone as the USA but is "thinner" sounding if that makes sense.

Hello Justin - Great playing. Love the tone... how much of that is from the Tremonti pups compared to the standard supplied - also do you split your string sets just like Mark when detuning.

@TCF62 Thanks. Most of the tone is from the pups.. probably 75%. I don't split strings sets, I use Ernie Ball skinny top/heavy bottom strings which are pre-split.

Thanks for this awesome cover dude! It's very helpful to learn this song. Usually tabs don't help in AB songs 'cause the chords are weird as fuck, it's hard to pull it out by ear from the studio record and the live version of this song was played during the first era of Alter Bridge when Mark played everything with wah (including the riffs lol) and their live sound used to be shitty too, so yeah.

@XXX38 Yeah its a Tremonti SE. Keep in mind they won't sound that good without the mods... the mods are... tremonti pickups, grover self locking tuners, PRS USA volume and tone pots, PRS USA input jack, PRS USA graphite nut. The PRS USA parts make a HUGE difference in tone!
