Honestly not sure why you spend your time talking like a 5 year old in your video here but let's get past that and to the point. The good old USA as a nation trying to take God out of everything from school prayer, to what marriage should truly represent between one man and one woman, the list goes on. It's exactly the very reason that this nation is headed down the drain at a rapid rate. Nobody except Michelle Bachmann has the guts anymore to stand up for truth even when unpopular.
@MrZombieIsHungry Read the U.S. Constitution, and Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists (the "wall of separation" letter). The U.S. was created to be a secular nation, with separation of church and state: the government must remain neutral with respect to religion. According to your bible, Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11:3). Abraham married his half-sister (Gen. 20:11-12), but at least it was one man and one woman, huh?
From yet another Minnesota girl to another, thank you! I've been thinking this about several politicians I've been watching lately. I hate mixing politics and religion.
I can never get my head around the religion obsession in your politics. You've lived here, you've seen how it is of absolutely no consequence yet in your elections a candidate can beat themselves just by saying "I don't believe in god."
I also find it very hard to believe that Pres. Obama is religious (I don't know why) but he has to play the game, give lip service etc.
@garyquinn1704 I don't really like that religion *is* in politics, nor do I think it *should* be as much as you can remove someone from their own philosophical ideas. It shouldn't be an impetus to a campaign.
aaaahaaat-LAAsssst. Maihluuuuv, has come along! (and I'm not just talking 'bout the beer I just drank. Although that 'might' have something to do with this message).
Love the accent, AND the sarcasm. very much well recieved.
@TheCommonManUSA I don't think she even knows where or what Tripoli is. I don't think she really knows much about the founding fathers, what they wanted, or even who they were. She likes to use them as props rather than as actual people or thinkers.
I named one of my cats after a very dear friend who was hit by a car and killed while he was still a perfectly healthy person. He was a Lutheran pastor and a Harvard graduate and never pushed his religious beliefs on anyone. As far as I know one of his best friends was also a Lutheran pastor as well as a gay man whose partner was also a pastor as I remember so I would have to conclude that generally speaking Lutherans are less uptight that catholics and fundamental christians.
@abbynormal0ne So true--We know she doesn't listen to her handlers. I think also half the time she doesn't know where is she is. Which has let to some great screw ups in her stump speeches.
Most Lutherans in Oz are only Lutheran because they send their kids to private Lutheran schools. Jesus just gets wheeled out when it suits their needs. Maybe that's what Michelle is doing. She needs a "cause" to polarise her audience and be popular, so she drops the "J-bomb". Which is sad, because if Jesus thought his name would become a bomb, I don't think he would have kept himself on that cross. Not that I think he ever existed, but ya-know...
Aren't Lutherans suppose to be more liberal? o.O At least the ones that I knew were, that or they were Lutheran like some people are Christian. (Yes in theory but not really. XD) Also fuck your accent is cute ^___^
You're the Constatutionalist? I'll take Ron Paul, thank you. He has years of experience dealing with Washington and actually knows foreign policy.
Google “Are Evangelical Christians Warmongers” by Pastor Chuck Baldwin about Israel and America’s undeclared wars and how the government uses fear to manipulate Americans (like Bachmann).
@vechorik Ron Paul may have years of experience dealing with Washington, but I'd rather not throw my support behind a candidate like him. He does not believe in separation of church and state, the validity of evolution, wants to get rid of the EPA and dept of education in favour of private companies, and who has made incredibly racist remarks.
Ron Paul is a Christian who definitely believes in separation of church and state. As far as the Dept. of Education being abolished, the states did a much better job of educating children. As far as the EPA, they are issuing mandates to kill business. Business should be held accountable for pollution by the LEGAL system. Any part of government that can be run more cheaply by a private company -- should be done so.
@vechorik Paul does not believe in the separation of church and state watch?v=NyfnHOPAhHo
States doing a better job? According to his own website, he says he would like more homeschooling. That requires more burden on the people with children including the ones who do not have the means for home schooling and private schools. That would mean fewer children with any education. Yes, the department of education isn't doing a good job *now* but it used to.
@vechorik The reason we have these laws are because the companies *weren't* doing their parts to protect the environment. The reason the EPA is there is to keep the businesses in check. There are ways to make it more efficient, but doing away with it altogether is a massive folly.
I stil laugh picturing Bachman and Palin riding through texas on Harleys !

I love the irony that during the 1960 Presidential campaign, Nixon and the Republicans were using religion against John Kennedy saying that he would put his Catholicism before the country.
@PJsCreed Yes, well, didn't you know that Catholics only answer to the Pope? It's not like...oh, I don't know...a woman running for president who says that she asked her husband's permission to go to law school and says that he makes all the decisions? Maybe that's a little bit sexist to say....
Gad?! Gad, is in charge now?! The first son of Jacob & Zilpah from the Book of Genesis?! That's 'lucky' for him, how 'fortunate'!!.. How did that come about?! (yay! I made 2 biblical reference jokes within the space of one sentence.. woohooo!!) :) haha
