  • Lies, lies, lies the damn mixture was 85 Percent tar, 13 carbollyxic acid and 2 percent amino acids. Thr madness of atheism continues.

  • Floaters... wish they existed.. they seem magnificent, even the word itself... floooateeeeers... ,,, awwweeessooomeeee

  • What is the orchestral piece playing in the beginning of this video? I love that music.

  • @cayblood Figured it out. It is the last movement of Mahler's Symphony no. 2. Can't believe I didn't realize this since I've heard it many times before.

  • CARL SAGAN RULES!

  • what's the music at 3:00?

  • "Alpha", Vangelis

  • THX!!! ;)

  • ???????????????wo German

  • Life on other planets is speculation, where's the proof? Great imagination though, perhaps when there's evidence of extra-terrestrial life we can start looking that direction. In the meantime what is a scientist doing presenting such speculation as a near fact?

  • where is the proof that life on other planets is speculation ? And personally I think that a scientist with no imagination is not a good scientist, no more than a fisherman is necessarily an explorer.

  • I think you're misinterpreting the word "speculation". It's all based on contemplation instead of evidence yet it's reported to be near fact. That's my issue, it's not proven to be fact or even near fact. Well that's good that a scientist has a good imagination but the proof lies in the experimentation. There is no evidence ET's exist anywhere. I'd say a good scientist has an objective viewpoint and a commitment to finding the truth.

  • and as far as proof, aren't we proof ourselves? If life in present on this planet, is more absurd to think that there's no life on all the other zillions and zillions of other planets, that there is.

  • Well anyone can say that. The Intelligent Design community says the same thing....."aren't humans proof that God exists?". IF there is intelligent life anywhere, we'll never know about it unless we can travel the speed of light or faster, but that's already proven to be a physical impossibility. At this point there is no reason to believe ET's exist as there is no proof other than a metaphysical argument. The argument "we are, therefore they are" just doesn't seem to cut it for me.

  • well, anyone can say what you say, too. Moreover, saying that it's entirely speculation ,to me is just as limiting as saying that it surely is not speculation. The only thing we can really say is say nothing ,because we just don't know enough. Anything is possible. Personally I am not religious and am not a simpleton who believes anything, but I saw a ghost and a darn SPACESHIP in London ,UK. Just because science is unable to explain something, does not mean it's not there, somewhere.

  • Luigiperso, you seem like an intelligent person and I have to agree with you that science is unable to explain somethings. The argument was surrounding ET's and whether they exist, unfortunately there's no evidence to suggest they do, just very loose theories and unconfirmed observations. I'm not suggesting you can't believe in ET's. It's perfectly fine if you do, you'd be a completely normal person. I'm just saying there's no concrete evidence to suggest they are out there.

  • Te amo Carl Sagan

  • Life does not exist in billions others worlds.

Life exist in an infinit number of others world (if, of course the univers itself is infinit)

  • The universe is not infinit, big bang + finit speed = finit universe :)

  • So what goes at the end of the univers ?

    A wall ?

And what's beind the what ?

  • (beind the WALL)

    ;o=)

  • Well, according to today's theory space and time are properties of the universe. So asking whats behind the universe and before/after it doesn't really make sense...

  • you will never know.

  • that's IF the big bang originated from a central point... we theorize that this is what happened. But, what if the big bang didn't expand from a single point? What if the big bang was simply the match, the spark that ignited the volatile gasoline?

  • @rata0071 prove it...

  • @LeandroDomingues actually it may be infinit. It appears to be something attracting some galaxies that is outside the visible universe, so, maybe the big bang wasn't the begining of everything, and just the begining of our part of the universe. This is almost completely speculation though

  • Gracias! creci viendo y leyendo a Carla Sagan.
